Oishi Japanese Restaurant Reviews
Food: I got the seaweed salad, Gyoza, Fuji Mountain and Worcester Maki roll. honestly, I’m quite disappointed by the overall quality as everything was just rather soggy. For eight dollars of seaweed salad the portion is screaming. The Gyoza’s would have been decent if they were crispy fried. Both the sushi rolls tasted like they’ve been sitting for a little too long and the wraps were soggy. Overall, it just wasn’t fresh.Service: I ordered takeout, which was fine when I scheduled to pick up at eight. It was already ready a little earlier.Ambiance: it’s rather quiet but spacious. They recently renovated the place so it’s rather nice inside.Location accommodation: there’s parking on the side towards the right side of the restaurant.
Oct 23, 2024 · VI recently visited this fantastic sushi restaurant and had an absolutely delightful experience. The dishes we sampled were exceptional, and each one offered a unique burst of flavor. Here are some highlights:- **Firecracker**: This dish was truly a standout. The combination of flavors and textures was simply amazing, earning a perfect 10/10 from us. The name perfectly captures the explosive taste experience.- **Mount Fuji**: Another top-notch choice, Mount Fuji impressed us with its exquisite balance of ingredients. It was also rated a perfect 10/10. The presentation and taste were both remarkable, making it a must-try.- **Sugar Mama**: For those who prefer vegetarian options, Sugar Mama is a fantastic choice. It delivers a delightful mix of flavors that will satisfy any palate. We rated it a perfect 10/10 for its creativity and taste.- **Red Sox**: While not my personal favorite, the Red Sox roll was still very impressive. It had a great flavor profile and was highly enjoyable. We rated it a solid 9/10, reflecting its high quality.Overall, our dining experience at this sushi place was outstanding, and we highly recommend trying these dishes if you visit.
May 24, 2024 · Maya ShbI was at Oishi yesterday and ordered crab rangoons, pork bao buns and ramen bowls but did not seem to be like I expected them at all. Crab rangoons were really good. The buns for the bao buns were soggy, don’t even get me started on the ramen bowls. There was absolutely no flavors to the broth of the bowls. The menu says it’s spicy but it literally had no flavor. I wouldn’t go back.
Feb 02, 2025 · Jagrithi MandannaTheir sushi is hit or miss! Sometimes your order is great everything tastes good and the sushi is fresh, other days are bad and the sushi doesn’t taste good!!I do recommend their Rainbow roll, that’s the one that has been consistently good so far!
May 19, 2025 · nazin ghafWent here with a friend for dinner. The ambiance is really nice and the location is on the main road so easy to find. I'm not sure whether about parking nearby, but well worth a visit. We ordered Mount fuji(raw), Philadelphia rolls(raw), and caterpillar maki(cooked).Caterpillar maki was probably more worth the money for its size and components. As someone trying sushi for the first time, these were the perfect picks. It's a bit pricey(especially considering the size), so it's probably worth going for special occasions only. We spent a total of 40$ for these three dishes. The plating is beautiful and topped with tobico caviar. There's no wait time(Friday night), and the staff was nice too.
