This is a Houston staple! Unpretentious and the sushi is consistently good. Be prepared to wait at least 45 minutes in peak hours. My go-to order is Special A and I also love the Bomb roll. The staff are Houston icons as well. Some of them have been there for over a decade! Truly recommend!!

Great sushi at an unbelievable price. The lunch specials are such a good deal! It’s exciting sitting at the bar watching the sushi chefs. Oishii is perfect if you have limited time to eat. The wait staff are always friendly and will explain the details of a dish without a hint of annoyance.

Great food and even better prices. Just 10 minutes west of midtown. Their HH is impressive with BOGO apps and 3.25 beers. It is very small and loud inside when it's busy. No mixed drinks only beers. Service was great while they were full and had a waiting list with a wait time of 45 minutes. If service is great when the place is full you have to give them some real props. As long as I continue to have great experiences at this location I will be back at least once a month. Trying to talk my financial advisor into once a week.

I think this place is a bit overrated. The sushi was not really fresh. The service was normal, not even meet the standard. Somehow I feel like she was rude to me. Overall, it’s a good choice for affordable sushi. But there are many better choices with the same price range.

Absolutely delicious Japanese restaurant very well developed pure Japanese flavors starting with the miso soup, dumplings, and sashimi. The rolls were freshly made. Rice was a great texture.The service is friendly, helpful, and attentiveThe parking lot is definitely timely. The inside of this location is is very small narrow. That’s only four stars for overall atmosphere very clean interior. I had to park at the Costco parking lot in order to park my large vehicle but well worth the walk definitely one of the top sushi restaurants in the area from a cost point it’s on point for the higher quality of fish that I was able to get here.Note my rating system:1 Star: I wouldn't recommend2 Stars: Didn't hit my standards3 Stars: Average (nothing special)4 Stars: Above Average. Would recommend. Still looking for the 5 Star.5 Stars: Top of their game. Great food. Great service. Would recommend and plan on returning.
