Promotions or Special Offers
Oishii Sushi & Teriyaki's most prominent offering that functions as a "special offer" is its All-You-Can-Eat (AYCE) sushi program. This allows diners to enjoy an unlimited selection of sushi and other designated menu items for a fixed price, a popular value proposition for many sushi enthusiasts in California. Additionally, their menu features various Lunch Specials and Dinner Plate Specials. For example, the Chicken Teriyaki Bento lunch special is highlighted as an affordable option at $9.50, providing a substantial meal including chicken teriyaki, California rolls, steamed rice, mixed tempura, and a daily special salad. These combination plates offer a great way to sample different dishes and are designed to provide good value. The restaurant's official website also mentions "Live Karaoke," which, while not a discount, adds an entertainment element that could be considered a value-added feature. For any current, time-sensitive promotions or specific pricing for the AYCE, contacting the restaurant directly is recommended.

Conclusion: Why this place is suitable for locals
For locals in Moreno Valley, California, Oishii Sushi & Teriyaki presents itself as a Japanese restaurant with a diverse menu, particularly appealing to those interested in an All-You-Can-Eat (AYCE) sushi experience. The concept of unlimited sushi is a significant draw, allowing residents to sample a wide array of rolls, nigiri, and other Japanese dishes without the constraint of individual item pricing, which can be highly attractive for a casual group outing or a hungry diner. The extensive menu, featuring not just sushi but also popular teriyaki plates, fried rice, noodles, and various appetizers, ensures that there's something to cater to different preferences within a family or group of friends, making it a versatile choice for local dining.
However, it's crucial for prospective diners to be aware of the consistent feedback regarding certain aspects of the dining experience. Multiple recent reviews highlight an automatic 18% gratuity added to the bill, irrespective of service quality, which has led to dissatisfaction among some customers. Concerns have also been raised about the freshness of certain seafood items, with specific mentions of rubbery and off-tasting oysters, and fish that "smelled and did not look or taste fresh at all." The service, particularly from one mentioned waitress, was described as unwelcoming and doing "the bare minimum," leading to a less-than-ideal atmosphere for some patrons. While the restaurant aims to provide a comprehensive Japanese experience, as indicated by its varied menu and multiple dining areas (including a karaoke patio bar), these documented issues suggest that the execution of the dining experience can be inconsistent.
For locals, deciding to visit Oishii Sushi & Teriyaki may depend on their willingness to prioritize the AYCE option and diverse menu over potential inconsistencies in service and food quality. It's a place that offers variety and quantity, which can be appealing for certain occasions. However, transparency about the automatic gratuity and awareness of past customer experiences regarding freshness and service are important considerations for any Californian planning a visit to ensure their expectations align with what the restaurant might deliver.

Oishii Sushi & Teriyaki Reviews
We were hungry, so we stayed—but the automatic 18% gratuity right out the gate felt excessive, especially considering the service. The food overall was decent. However, our second round of oysters was extremely rubbery and had an off taste, which was disappointing. Now let’s talk about our waitress. I don’t know what we did to personally offend her, but every interaction felt like we were interrupting her villain origin story. The short, fake smile she tossed at us was the cherry on top of the awkward sundae. Honestly, I’ve had warmer greetings from DMV clerks.Long story short: we came, we ate (some), we tipped (involuntarily), and we won't be back.
May 24 · Jenna ContrerasI hate to leave such a negative review but this place was awful.Came with my family for all you can eat sushi and it was such a waste of money. The second you sit down they tell you it’s an automatic 18% gratuity added to the bill. With that being said, we expected top notch service and food. We got the complete opposite! The waitress did the bare minimum and the food was disgusting. We are huge fans of sushi and usually aren’t picky but we couldn’t even finish what we ordered. The fish smelled and did not look or taste fresh at all. Super disappointing and $130 wasted.
April 12 · Liba McCormackOverall good experience but I must say... I wasnt too impressed with my service or the time it took to get the food to my table. 1 person, AYCE, 2 Rounds, only water, there was only 1 other party in the restaurant and it was lunch time on a Tuesday and I was there nearly an hour and a half... and I eat quick. The food was really good but the Tuna was a bit fishy. Not as bad as I have had at other restaurants but it was noticeable. The appetizers I got were AMAZING though! The jalapeño bomb and cream cheese gyozas were wonderful.Atmosphere was very cool, laid back, date night vibes without having to dress up. The place was clean.Overall, 4/5 stars.
May 28 · Kendall McCardleOne of the best spots in Memo Valley easy! All you can eat everyday is a plus!
January 03 · Darryl Kennedyservers were good. food was decent. Sushi bar service was trash chef left without saying anything to us the other 2 chefs just didn't care standing around on their phone laughing sat there for like 15 mins before one of them picked up our AYCE paper.. they also add a automatic tip for very lazy service the bar specifically. i accidently tipped twice because i didn't notice the automatic tip. wont be returning.
