This experience is typically timed to be efficiently under an hour, making it suitable even for those with showtimes to catch.

They provide detailed explanations for each course, sharing insights into the fish's origin, preparation techniques, and unique flavor profiles, enhancing the overall appreciation of the meal.

Omakase by Korami has earned a stellar reputation among New Yorkers for several key features and highlights that distinguish it in the city's vibrant sushi scene.
Exceptional Quality for Price: A consistent highlight, as noted by numerous patrons, is the incredible quality of the fish for the price point (typically around $89 for a 15-course dinner omakase). Diners often describe the fish as "fresh, buttery, and soft," a testament to their commitment to premium ingredients and value in the competitive NYC market.
Intimate and Refined Ambiance: With seating for approximately 10 people at the sushi counter, Omakase by Korami offers a remarkably intimate and refined dining environment. This small setting contributes to a "chill and a bit refined" vibe, allowing for a focused and personal culinary journey.

Omakase by Korami’s primary allure is its remarkable value for a high-quality omakase experience in New York City. Rather than frequently relying on temporary promotions, the restaurant's core strategy seems to be offering a consistent, premium product at a highly competitive fixed price.
The 15-course dinner omakase, typically priced around $89 per person (plus tax and tip), is widely considered an excellent deal within the NYC omakase landscape. This fixed pricing structure serves as its inherent "special offer," providing an accessible entry point to a refined sushi tasting that often costs significantly more at comparable establishments. While explicit, time-sensitive promotions are not prominently advertised, New Yorkers can consider the following aspects as advantageous:
Consistent Value Proposition: The established price for the 15-course meal is arguably its greatest ongoing promotion. For the quality and number of courses received, it consistently provides superior value compared to many other omakase options in the city.
Lunch Omakase Option: While information on a lunch omakase specific to Korami is not explicitly detailed in the provided reviews, many omakase restaurants offer a shorter, more affordable lunch version of their tasting menu. It is advisable to check their official website or booking platform for any potential daytime specials, which could serve as a more budget-friendly introduction to their cuisine.
Exclusive Booking Platform Deals: Occasionally, restaurants partner with booking platforms like Resy to offer limited-time discounts or special availability. While not a regular occurrence, checking their reservation page on such platforms might reveal intermittent promotions.
For the most accurate and up-to-date information on pricing and any potential offerings, New Yorkers are encouraged to visit Omakase by Korami's official website or their Resy booking page directly. The consistent feedback suggests that the regular price itself is seen as a significant value, making it a compelling choice even without additional discounts.

Omakase by korami Reviews
Absolutely everything is excellently delicious. I have never tried fish so fresh, buttery, and soft in my life and I don't know if I ever will again, unless I come back here. Every piece is packed with a different flavor that leaves you wanting more. The chefs are really sweet and explain everything they serve you, it's a small intimate location, probably 10 people max so the vibe was chill and a bit refined. But don't be afraid to dress casually. They're also very accommodating to allergies, just let them know once you're there. If you want to do omakase right I highly recommend this place. You can't beat that kind of quality for the price, it really is excellent. Hoping they make a 25 course option in the future, because I'd love to try more!
May 01, 2025 · Jameela AyoubA high-quality omakase place. Got the general 15-course meal. The fish were very fresh and generally the flavors are really good. However, a few things were a bit annoying. The first 2 courses are basically the same. At the end of the meal, even though it serves 15 courses, I felt hungry. I think this is because the sushi pieces are very small and not filling even after 15 pieces. Also, the host was standing in the corner supervising the meal and he claimed I already got the last course even though I didn’t and that was ridiculous… he wanted to take it from me which was ridiculous..Other than that the sushi chefs are very nice and accommodating to whatever you need
May 16, 2025 · Guy EichlerThis is a lovely place--very intimate, close to the theater district but in a subdued area where you can avoid throngs of people. The service was excellent, with three chefs serving 10 diners. All the fish was top quality, but the standout bites for me were the following: Uni from Hokkaido, which was sweet and creamy with no funky aftertaste; ikura from Alaska, which had been marinated in soy and brown sugar; Wagyu beef, which was beautifully marbled and seared perfectly; Chutoro with a generous dollop of caviar (it practically melts in your mouth); and the seared sable (a.k.a Black Cod), which is a cut of fish I love but only a handful of places serve. Fifteen courses for $89 is an excellent price for quality as well as the quantity, and you will definitely leave full. But...if you have room and an extra $20 to spare, get the Oceanic Kiss!!! It's one of the tastiest things I've ever had. Served in an edible rice flour monaka shell, it contains layers of Ikura, Toro, Uni and Caviar (as pictured)....and was absolutely divine. An enormous serving that has to be eaten in three or four bites--you could even share it with a loved one.
Apr 07, 2025 · Carla BriscoeKorami is my go to casual omakase spot. Along with 13water they are my picks for
May 07, 2025 · Patrick KI told a friend I was looking for a great omakase spot in the city that would fit into my plans to catch a Broadway show. They recommended this location, and I have to say—it was amazing. We had 5 PM reservations, which worked perfectly with our 7 PM show, as the entire meal takes about an hour, or slightly longer if you order extras. The restaurant is small but very intimate. Everything we ate was incredibly fresh, and the space was impeccably clean. I can’t wait to return!
