Omakase OSUKAA LIC focuses on delivering an exclusive and personalized sushi dining experience.
Omakase Dining: This is the primary service, offering chef-selected multi-course meals. Guests can choose between different course options (e.g., 13-course or 17-course menus) for both lunch and dinner. The chef crafts each piece using the finest seasonal ingredients, providing an intimate and curated culinary journey.
Intimate Counter Seating: The restaurant features a 12-seat counter, allowing diners to directly observe the sushi chefs at work. This interactive experience enhances the enjoyment of the omakase, as chefs are often pleasant, interactive, and generous with their offerings.
Reservations Essential: Given the limited seating (12 seats at the counter, plus a table for larger parties up to 8 guests) and high demand, making reservations in advance via platforms like Resy is highly recommended to secure your spot.
Lunch and Dinner Service: Omakase OSUKAA LIC offers both lunch and dinner omakase experiences, providing flexibility for different dining schedules. Lunch service typically runs from 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM (Monday-Friday), and dinner service from 5:00 PM to 10:00 PM (Monday-Saturday).
Private Dining/Group Seating: In addition to the counter, there is a table available for larger parties (up to 8 guests), accommodating small group celebrations or more private dining preferences.
Omakase OSUKAA LIC has quickly distinguished itself through a combination of exceptional quality, value, and unique culinary elements.
Financially Friendly Omakase: This is perhaps the most significant highlight. Customers consistently praise Omakase OSUKAA LIC for offering an "affordable" yet "best omakase place" in NYC. Prices like $69 for a 13-course omakase and $99 for a 17-course dinner omakase are considered exceptional value for the quality provided in New York City.
Incredibly Fresh Fish: The quality of the fish is paramount, and patrons frequently use terms like "SO fresh" and "practically melts in your mouth" to describe the nigiri. This commitment to fresh, high-quality ingredients ensures an authentic and sublime sushi experience.
Generous Use of Premium Ingredients: A delightful surprise for many diners is the chef's generosity with luxurious toppings such as uni (sea urchin), caviar, and foie gras on various pieces. This elevates the omakase experience, adding richness and complexity.
Unique and Creative Twists: While some pieces are classic, others feature "their own twist," offering innovative flavor combinations that keep the meal exciting. The chefs demonstrate creativity in presentation and pairing, making each course a delightful surprise.
Interactive and Pleasant Chef: The chefs are noted for being "pleasant, interactive, and pretty generous." This direct engagement enhances the omakase experience, allowing diners to learn about the ingredients and preparation, and fostering a personal connection.
Balanced Courses: The omakase menu typically includes two appetizers, a selection of nigiri, and a dessert, ensuring a well-rounded and satisfying meal that progresses through different textures and flavors.
Chill Vibe and Simple Decor: The ambiance is described as having a "chill vibe" and "simple decor," allowing the focus to remain firmly on the food and the intimate interaction with the chef. The cozy, 12-seat counter creates an exclusive feel.
Consistent Quality: Despite being a newer establishment, reviews suggest a remarkable consistency in the quality of fish and preparation, indicating a strong commitment to excellence.
Omakase OSUKAA LIC's primary "special offer" is its inherently value-driven pricing for a high-quality omakase experience in New York City. The pricing structure, which offers a 13-course omakase for $69 and a 17-course omakase for $99 at dinner (prices can vary, so it's always best to check their website or Resy), is already considered a significant deal compared to many other omakase restaurants in Manhattan and even parts of Queens.
Lunch Omakase: They offer a 10-course omakase lunch special for around $48, which is an exceptional deal for an omakase experience, particularly during weekdays (Monday-Friday: 11 am-3 pm).
Bento Boxes & A La Carte Lunch Options: Beyond omakase, they also feature various lunch specials including 2-roll or 3-roll combos, and Bento Boxes (e.g., Sushi, Sashimi, Tempura, Unagi Don, Chirashi) ranging from $10-$15, providing highly affordable options for quick and satisfying Japanese lunches.
A La Carte Add-ons: While the omakase is comprehensive, guests have the option to add on individual pieces of premium sushi or sashimi, such as A5 Wagyu, Hokkaido Uni, or Fatty Tuna, allowing for a customized indulgence.
For the most current pricing and any specific seasonal promotions, it is always recommended for New Yorkers to check Omakase OSUKAA LIC's official website (osukaanyc.com/lic) or their Resy booking page, as these are the most reliable sources for up-to-date information.

Omakase OSUKAA LIC Reviews
A fairly new hole in the wall 12 seat omakase spot in LIC. Located inside The Factory building along with a few other small restaurants/establishments. We opted for the 17 piece which came with two appetizers, 14 nigiri and a dessert at the end. The chef was pleasant, interactive and pretty generous on the uni, caviar and foie gras. Each piece was fresh and unique- while some were ordinary, others had their own twist. I’d like to come back and try their lunch menu if I am ever around the area again.
May 01, 2025 · Ruby FHow is it possible this place exists and nobody knows about it? This was single-handedly the best (and financially friendly!) omakase place I’ve been to in NYC! The fish was SO fresh, each course was better than the one before. Amazing flavors, practically melts in your mouth. If I were rich I would come here every single day. $69 for 13 courses and I think $90 for 17, which is not bad at all!
May 30, 2025 · Phoebe BrewerThis is by far the most worth omakase experience that I've had in New York so far, and would be the only one I would be willing to come back to! Located in LIC, this is a newer omakase spot resides in The Factory (although there is also apparently a location in Midtown East as well!). I came here for lunch one day and was fortunately able to try their 13 course omakase set (apparently they typically don't typically do omakase for lunch, but the staff was able to accommodate!). For ~$70pp and with the quality that we got, this was unbeatable. Service here was great, and the chefs were so friendly to talk to.Each piece that I tried was fresh, delectable, and very high quality. While some of their pieces were more traditional and simple, such as the matai and ebi we tried, they also had some unique pieces. My favorites of the meal were their torched salmon with foie gras; otoro with uni and caviar; and their buttered toast with toro, charred onion, scallop, and caviar (my favorite!!). I also loved their tofu pudding that they ended the meal with. Would love to come back to try their 17 course for dinner!
Mar 25, 2025 · Mia HuynhOmakase Osukaa is a really nice restaurant all around. Service is efficient and friendly. The ambience is relaxed and pleasant. It’s hidden away in a large ground floor commercial area with various stores and restaurants. The food is delicious. I had their 17 course omakase and liked all of it. Recommended!
Jan 01, 2025 · DimitriosSo glad I found this place in Queens. Every piece was delicious and fresh! We only had the 13 course… next time def going to have the 17 course! The sake choices were good but I wish they had wine as well. The restaurant is located inside the Factory building..not the easiest to find. But I’ll definitely be back.
