Poke City is designed to provide a highly convenient and customizable dining experience, primarily focusing on takeout and delivery to fit the needs of New York City residents.
- Customizable Poke Bowls: This is their flagship offering, allowing customers to build their own poke bowls from a wide selection of fresh proteins (like salmon, tuna, shrimp, and tofu), bases (such as white rice, brown rice, or mixed greens), a vast array of fresh vegetables and mix-ins, and a variety of flavorful sauces and crunchy toppings. This customization ensures every bowl is tailored to individual preferences.
- Signature Poke Bowls: For those who prefer a curated experience, Poke City offers a selection of signature poke bowls like the "Salmon Love" and "Ocean Bowl," which feature expertly combined ingredients for a balanced and delicious flavor profile.
- Sushi Rolls & Hand Rolls: Beyond poke, the menu includes a good selection of classic sushi rolls and hand rolls, such as Tuna Avocado Roll, Spicy Salmon Roll, and Shrimp Tempura Roll, providing options for traditional sushi cravings.
- Chef Special Rolls: For more adventurous palates, Poke City features a range of "Chef Special Rolls" with unique combinations and elaborate presentations, like the Fashion Roll, Spicy Love Roll, and Dragon Roll.
- Sushi and Sashimi Entrees: For a more complete Japanese meal, they offer various sushi and sashimi entrees, including Sushi Regular, Sushi Deluxe, Chirashi, and Sashimi Combo plates.

Poke City distinguishes itself in Brooklyn's competitive food scene through several key features that consistently earn rave reviews from its customers:
- Large and Generous Portions: A recurring highlight in customer feedback is the substantial size of the portions. Diners frequently mention getting "great portions for the price," ensuring a satisfying and filling meal. This commitment to value is highly appreciated in New York City.
- Exceptional Freshness of Ingredients: The quality of the ingredients is paramount at Poke City. Customers consistently praise the "fresh items" and "fresh ingredients," which are crucial for enjoyable poke and sushi. This dedication to freshness is a cornerstone of their appeal.
- No Extra Charge for Avocado: A small but significant detail that customers love is the fact that there's "no extra charge for avocado." In many establishments, avocado is an additional cost, making this a pleasant surprise and adding to the perceived value.
- Customization Options: The ability to "Create Your Own Poke Bowl" with a wide array of proteins, bases, mix-ins, sauces, and toppings is a major draw. This allows every customer to tailor their meal perfectly to their taste and dietary preferences, making each visit unique.

- Competitive and Reasonable Pricing: Despite the large portions and fresh ingredients, Poke City maintains "competitive and reasonable" pricing. This makes it an accessible option for regular meals, striking a great balance between quality and affordability.
- Clean and Orderly Environment: Customers appreciate the cleanliness of the establishment, noting that "The place is always kept clean, and orderly." This contributes to a comfortable and trustworthy dining environment, especially for takeout.
- Diverse Menu Beyond Poke: While poke bowls are a specialty, the menu also offers a comprehensive selection of sushi rolls, sashimi, chef special rolls, and Japanese appetizers, catering to a broader range of Japanese cuisine cravings.
Poke City aims to provide excellent value, and while specific, ongoing "promotions" in the traditional sense (like daily happy hours) might not be widely advertised, their regular pricing structure, portion sizes, and smart inclusions act as continuous value propositions for New Yorkers. They also leverage third-party delivery platforms for occasional deals:
- Value in Portions and Inclusions: The "large portions" and "no extra charge for avocado" are in themselves significant value offerings that act as continuous promotions for customers. These inclusions save diners money compared to other poke establishments.
- Competitive Pricing: The overall "competitive and reasonable pricing" for the quality and quantity of food provided means that customers consistently feel they are getting a good deal, even without explicit "discount" promotions.
- Sushi Roll Combos: Poke City offers appealing combos for sushi lovers, such as "Any Two Roll Combo" for around $13.00 and "Any Three Roll Combo" for about $17.00. These are excellent deals for a satisfying sushi meal.
- Party Trays: For gatherings, they offer a "Party Tray" which includes "Any 8 regular rolls + rainbow roll or dragon roll" for approximately $54.00, providing a cost-effective solution for entertaining.

- Reduced or Free Delivery Fees: For subscribers to services like DashPass or Uber One, or during special promotional periods, delivery fees might be waived or reduced.
- Percentage-Off Promotions: Occasional percentage-off deals on orders over a certain amount, or specific item discounts, can appear on these apps.

Poke City Reviews
Large portions, fresh items, no extra charge for avocado, and friendly staff. There is seating, however there are only 5 seats. Great takeout place. Pricing is competitive and reasonable. Definitely give it a try.
Apr 27, 2025 · Jason WongPoke City is one of the best spots to eat in the neighborhood. I got the Salmon Love and my partner got the Ocean Bowl. Great portions for the price and fresh ingredients. I'm happy!!!
Apr 23, 2025 · IndiraThis sushi spot is a decent option for takeout, especially if you’re in the area. There isn’t much seating, so it’s not ideal for dining in, but the food comes out quickly. I had the sushi and thought it was enjoyable, and it looks like the poke bowls are a popular choice among other customers. Unfortunately, the service was underwhelming—the girl at the register was a bit rude and seemed to have an attitude. That definitely took away from the experience. I probably wouldn’t go out of my way to return, but it’s fine for a quick bite if I happen to be nearby.
May 03, 2025 · Stephanie DavilaOne of my new go-to Poke spots. They were super fast and efficient getting bowls made and the store seemed clean too. The bowl was delicious and all the ingredients tasted fresh - I really appreciated they don’t skimp when giving you the proteins, some other places give you tiny tiny scoops of proteins but the servings here were decent sizes. Will definitely come back!
Jan 07, 2024 · Wall FishWe used to LOVE this place and order it with Uber Eats twice a week but on Sunday, April 27th we got food poisoning from the poke bowls 😣 we informed Uber but not sure if they let the restaurant know. Hopefully there’s a more thorough check on the fish freshness so that this place keeps being great. Unfortunately, we don’t think we’ll be ordering from here again since the food poisoning was pretty brutal.
