RAMEN-SAN Whisky Bar Reviews
Great ramen! Stumbled upon this place because we were in the area and hungry. What a pleasant surprise. The ramen was so good we had the vegetarian and crispy chicken. It was just the right spice and came out fresh and hot. We ordered the crab ragoon as an appetizer, and it was very tasty. They do serve alcohol as well beer, wine, and cocktails. Service was good, and it was pretty busy. We lucked out with no reservations, but do recommend if you are going on the weekend.
Mar 24, 2025 · Margie GarciaAmbiance: 5 - Such a lovely spot since stepping in. We got here little after opening around 11 on a Sunday and it was quite crowded for that time. It was snowing, though.Food: 5 - We tried the Wagyu Italian Beef Ramen, limited edition, and was so unique. Rich and deep broth with a hint of Italian flavors with soft beef on top. Chicken Shio was probably my favorite broth. The Katsu Tonkotsu was also super scrumptious. So thankful their food is lite and yet filled with so much umami.Service: 5 - Our server was so friendly calling us, "my friends" every chance we had and really felt like she was our friend.Drinks: 4 - Highball was pretty good along with their teas.Go early or at the right time and be sure to try everything - you won't regret it!
Mar 19, 2025 · Jasmine ChungWhen I tell you this is the best ramen place I’ve ever been to, I’m not exaggerating. I absolutely love the ramen here, been to a handful of places throughout the Chicagoland area, and Ramen San puts them all to shame. Great prices, huge portions, excellent quality, some of the tastiest pork belly and broth I’ve had anywhere. The chicken wings and the dumplings are also very tasty. Relaxing atmosphere with a bar, friendly staff. Best of all, consistency, no matter what location you go to.
Apr 18, 2025 · jerry rakoThey have the A/C on when its 30 something outside; bring coats and blankets. Ramen has some flavor but you have to use the seasonings at the table to actually enjoy your ramen. The noodles are firm. The tofu buns and pork buns were really good. Dessert options were just 50/50. They have a long list of whiskeys to choose from but they only 1oz/2oz pours so its alil price.
Mar 27, 2025 · Flan FlannaganWe waited for over 1 hour to be seated even after having a reservation, and then we waited almost as long for food to arrive. I’m not sure if we came in on a day where they were short-staffed or what. But we were given some free appetizers to make up for it. The waitress took our allergy/dietary restrictions and made sure they were accommodated. Food was good, but it wasn’t worth the long wait. The desserts, however, were FANTASTIC. Super delicious!!
