Ramen Seas has been a long-standing presence for many locals, with one customer recalling visits "before Covid after shopping the farmer market," highlighting its established role in the community's dining scene. The restaurant has evolved its **menu** over time, with notable changes such as the shift from "a roll slice of pork" to "a chunk of stew pork" in their ramen, a change that customers still appreciate for its "good flavor." This indicates a willingness to adapt while maintaining core taste profiles. The addition of "rice bowl now which is nice" further expands their offerings, catering to a wider range of preferences beyond just ramen. The **oyster fry** is a particularly commended appetizer, described as "so nice" with a "Great dipping sauce too," suggesting a high standard for their supplementary dishes.
A significant **feature** of Ramen Seas is its commitment to providing options for various dietary needs, including vegetarian choices. They offer "two vegetarian ramen options: Veggie Miso Ramen and Veggie Curry Ramen." The **Veggie Curry Ramen** is recommended for those preferring a "richer" flavor, and can even be made spicy, with an "additional spice level called Habanero, which is the highest." This customization option caters to those who enjoy a kick in their meal. The Veggie Curry Ramen itself is praised for hitting "all the right notes and maintained that flavor throughout," featuring "delightfully chewy" noodles, "soft" tofu, mushrooms, green onions, and corn. An egg can be added upon request, allowing further personalization. While acknowledging it's "not the best vegetarian ramen I’ve ever had," the reviewer still found it "definitely worth trying." For those who "prefer a milder flavor," the **Miso Ramen** is recommended as a "lighter veggie option." This demonstrates a thoughtful approach to their vegetarian menu, providing distinct choices to suit different tastes.
The **environment** of Ramen Seas, particularly during weekday lunch, was noted as "not very crowded," which initially lowered one customer's expectations. This might suggest a more relaxed and less bustling atmosphere during off-peak hours, which some diners might find appealing for a quieter meal. The location on Murphy Ave, close to a farmer's market, implies a vibrant neighborhood with local foot traffic. However, specific feedback was given regarding the physical aspects of the dining area: "The seating and cutlery could use some improvement." This suggests that while the culinary experience is strong, there might be opportunities to enhance the comfort and aesthetic appeal of the interior furnishings to match the quality of the food.
In terms of **services**, Ramen Seas generally receives positive remarks. One reviewer explicitly stated that "the service was good." While not elaborated upon, this indicates a satisfactory level of attentiveness and efficiency from the staff. The waiter's recommendation of the "richer" Veggie Curry Ramen demonstrates a knowledgeable staff willing to guide customers through the menu, enhancing the dining experience. The ability to customize spice levels and add extra components like an egg further points to a flexible and accommodating service approach. The efficient service during weekday lunch hours, where it "wasn't very crowded," suggests that staff can provide prompt attention to diners.
Regarding **promotional information**, the provided reviews do not detail specific, time-limited discounts or marketing campaigns. Instead, the restaurant's value is communicated through its consistent food quality and menu adaptations. The long-standing presence in the community, with patrons returning "before Covid after shopping the farmer market," speaks to an established reputation that acts as a form of organic promotion. The evolution of the menu, including "rice bowl now which is nice," and changes in protein preparation like the "chunk of stew pork" while maintaining "good flavor," encourages repeat visits by offering variety and consistency. The strong recommendations for specific dishes, such as the "oyster fry" with its "great dipping sauce," and the detailed praise for the "Veggie Curry Ramen" as "definitely worth trying," serve as powerful word-of-mouth marketing. For local users accessing services via a "Doctor Near Me" platform, Ramen Seas is promoted through its reliable history, diverse menu (including thoughtful vegetarian options), and consistently good flavors, making it a go-to spot for satisfying Japanese comfort food in Sunnyvale.

Ramen Seas Reviews
Used to come here before Covid after shopping the farmer market. They changed the menu a bit. Like the ramen you used to get a roll slice of pork but now you get a chunk of stew pork. Still the good flavor. Also they have rice bowl now which is nice. I usually order the oyster fry too. They make it so nice here. Great dipping sauce too.
Apr 27, 2025 · Scott ChauVisited this ramen spot located in Sunnyvale's Murphy Ave area for lunch. It wasn't very crowded during weekday lunch, which initially lowered my expectations. They offer two vegetarian ramen options: Veggie Miso Ramen and Veggie Curry Ramen. Based on the waiter's recommendation that the option is richer, I chose Veggie Curry Ramen one and requested it to be made spicy. There’s also an additional spice level called Habanero, which is the highest. From the first bite, it hit all the right notes and maintained that flavor throughout. The noodles were delightfully chewy, the tofu was soft, and it included mushrooms, green onions, and corn. An egg can be added upon confirmation. Overall, I enjoyed the flavor of the Veggie Curry Ramen, it’s definitely worth trying, although it’s not the best vegetarian ramen I’ve ever had. If you prefer a milder flavor, I recommend the Miso Ramen for lighter veggie option. The seating and cutlery could use some improvement, but the service was good.
May 28, 2025 · NikhilWe visited this cozy ramen spot on a chilly Valentine’s night around 8:30 PM. It wasn’t too crowded at that hour, which made for a relaxed dining experience. The restaurant itself is quite small, with around 10 tables, and the staff—including both the servers and the host—were warm and welcoming. As a vegetarian, I had a couple of concerns. First, the limited vegetarian options—only two ramen choices and three vegetarian curries. Second, given the small space, the strong smell of fish and seafood was quite noticeable, which made it a bit uncomfortable at times. We ordered one of the vegetarian ramen options and a curry. The food arrived quickly, and from the very first bite of the curry, all my concerns faded—it was absolutely delicious! The ramen was flavorful as well, and the portions were generous. Even with just two dishes, we had leftovers to take home.Overall, it’s a great ramen spot in Sunnyvale, but I’m giving it 4 stars due to the strong seafood smell inside.
Feb 18, 2025 · RexetyChance find walking around Murphy Avenue in Sunnyvale. The menu was simple--primarily ramen/curry centered, but has assorted appetizers and limited selection of mini donburi bowls. We ordered the takoyaki, tonkotosu ramen and a curry dish. However what particularly caught my eye and was very curious about their black curry--made with activated charcoal (not sure what that meant)--so I took a chance. I paired it with creamy crab croquette (additional cost), it was surprisingly tasty. Be forewarned there is a little gritty aftertaste, but overall it was very nice and it went well with the crab croquettes. The takoyaki was surprisingly delicious; the texture was a little creamy and tasted nice--I would order it again. The tonokotsu was ordered for it to be spicy and it checked the box--it was also very flavorful. Our meal was reasonably priced at about $45 for 3 items. The service was good & the waitstaff was attentive. I am looking forward to returning.
