Ramen Tatsu-ya Reviews
time coming to Ramen Tatsu-Ya for the “CrawRamen” and it was delicious! Walking in the ambiance was very inviting and the decor was perfect. The staff were very friendly and did great with providing recommendations. The double fried chicken with house made sauce was perfection! Will definitely be back to try more.
Apr 05, 2025 · Cleopatra “Wise” JonesWe saw this place last week and we decided to try it out this weekend. Maybe because the weather was a bit chilly, the place was busy but the good thing was, the staff would take orders when a table became available, so that we did not have to wait for someone to leave to be seated after placing the order.Once seated, the food came out relatively fast; I tried their MI-SO-NOT Tonkotsu and their Gyoza (pan fried dumplings). I think the broth had a good flavor and the ramen noodles were nicely cooked. Can't say I was a fan of the shredded Napa cabbage and the amount of scallions in the ramen but overall, I enjoyed it very much. Gyoza was average like any other place, so I won't comment too much about it. 😅I tried out my son's MI-SO-HOT ramen broth at the end and I think that's what I will order next time.
Feb 22, 2025 · David CAs always, you can be sure to get delicious, flavorful ramen at Tatsuya. So glad to have this North Round Rock location! Ambience inside is as nice as the original downtown location, although here at RR there isn’t any outdoor seating. Same as the downtown location, you order at the counter, then seat yourself. Your order will be brought to the table once ready, which is pretty quick. There are two veg ramen options - and several veg add-ons to customize the ramen. The few times I’ve been to Tatsuya, I’ve always got the Veg Nu Skool and it does not disappoint. Will have to try the other veg ramen option at some point! As with most places, including most ramen places, the choice is of course, more expansive if you’re not eating vegetarian. Can’t go wrong with Kirin Ichiban as your beer of choice.Adding on after my latest visit:The OG ramen is far less flavorful than the Miso or Nu Skool. The veg rice bowl with curry is a decently sized portion for the days when you’re not too hungry - I added tofu on the side, and the curry was actually pretty flavorful.
Jan 23, 2025 · Malavika KaleI really feel a certain way about getting main courses before appetizers, but I'm gonna be nice since this is a public platform..So that's exactly what happened here.. restaurants need to pay attention to this detail.. do it right or comp it (the appetizer).. not looking for free food or anything like that because here, food is paid for before getting a table, plus there were 6 of us and we spent a good amount of money here with apps, ramen, and some drinks..Chicken karaage was good, so were the ramen.. service could be better.. Will I come back? Heavy on the maybe..Ps. I've been to their other locations and no issues there..
Jan 25, 2025 · achelle foster4/21/2025 Update:Came to this location and was going to get the Mi-So-Not add mushrooms and chasu which is my normal go-to for Tatsuya. Decided instead today to venture and try their special the Crawmen. It has tonkotsu, crawfish, andouille, bayou butter, corn & peppers, ajitama. I was pleasantly surprised with the richness of the broth, the bold flavors as if you are eating a crawfish boil in a pot with ramen noodles, and the buttery goodness. Pro tip: start eating the broth as-is and once you get to a point where the richness gets a little heavy then start to squeeze some of the lemon to change the flavor thus cutting into some of the richness. Highly recommend this special that's available until 5/28/2025.Original review:This is very similar to the other Ramen Tatsuya locations. Which is actually what you expect for consistency when it comes to expanding with additional storefronts. The chashu here is very tender and flavorful. It could very well be the best in town when it comes to just the chashu. If my wife were to go to this place, she would say that the broth is lukewarm. From what I understand, in Japan, this is very common. I would say that I prefer my broth somewhat to the middle hot range. This is more in the middle. As for the broth, it is very rich and can be salty depending on what you put in the Ramen bowl. Overall, it's very consistent for what I have experienced at other locations.I'm glad to have a place close to where I live. It is a solid Ramen. Is it the best in town? I don't think so, but it is consistent and fills the need for tasty Ramen in the area; 100%.
