Rock-n-Saké Bar & Sushi Reviews
Great atmosphere, great service, sushi lacks a lot of presentation, it was falling apart as I was eating it, sushi chefs need to definitely fix how they create the rolls, I think they are rushing orders, idk it was a BIG turn off especially for the price range, Metairie location had way better presentation!
Apr 13, 2025 · Karla ChavezOur food was delicious. I really enjoyed the seasonal drink menu. The Fireside Glow was my favorite. The atmosphere was well decorated.
Dec 19, 2024 · Victoria VanneyWe had a great experience as a group of six having dinner here on NYE. The food, service and vibe were all excellent.I’m surprised at the comments saying it’s outrageously expensive. I found the prices to be very average and fair for a nice sushi restaurant. $18-$22 for a special roll, which are large, deliciously elaborate and worth every penny. You can also order standard sushi rolls like a crunchy roll, California roll, Philadelphia roll, etc. A classic salmon roll was only $7-8. Again, standard. A bottle of hot sake was $9.Everything we had tasted phenomenal. The server was especially helpful in letting me know what my non-raw options were as a pregnant woman.Yes, the music is loud, but we didn’t have to yell to hear each other. We didn’t find it to be a hindrance to our conversation.
Jan 03, 2025 · Alexandra EmbreyThis downtown NOLA sushi spot off the beaten path is great to try sushi but be prepared for steep prices. We enjoyed the:- Tuna sashimi- Salmon nigiri- Voodoo roll (highly recommend if you like spicy tuna)- Party boat platterWhile the sushi is legit I had several issues:- Absurd pricing. $9 for a bottle of water without notice. No thanks!- Upcharges: $3 for dressing on sashimi, which is already pricey at $9 for two pieces of nigiri (typically $4-5 per piece).- Menu discrepancies: Online menu doesn't match the actual menu, and they're not affiliated with the chain.Considering it's NOLA, I would prefer not to pay NYC prices for sushi. If prices were more reasonable this would be 5 stars.Note for the owner - You have great potential for this place. However, considering how dead the place was on a Thursday night, I would recommend experimenting with pricing / specials to get more people in the door.
Jun 01, 2024 · Shawn VarugheseGreat dinner vibe if you're looking to kick off the night with some energy! Food is amazing, fresh, and vibrant! The music playlist is always on point! The staff works hard to ensure guests are accommodated and leave happy! Thank you for making each experience so wonderful and setting the stage for a fun night on the town! This is a popular downtown restaurant with a smaller kitchen. The restaurant tries their best to get food out as quickly as possible and will do everything possible to speed up the process while ensuring food quality remains high. Have a laissez les bons temps rouler and you're all set for a wonderful night!
