Rosewood Kitchen Reviews
Loved our lunch at Rosewood Kitchen! We started with the chicken karrage and tempura brussel sprouts. For entrees we had the surf and turf ramen special, and the shuo pork ramen. Really appreciate how the chef respectfully goes about creating fusion cuisine. Everything tasted fantastic. Incredible ambiance of the restaurant, being an art gallery and also having music performances at night. Dog friendly. The staff was super friendly and informative, and orders come out quick. Highly recommend!
Mar 21, 2025 · Jeff CooperhouseI their Surf and Turf Ramen that was a special. It had Shrimp Tempura and Filet Mignon and 3 different broths mixed together (Miso, Black Garlic, and and one of the Spicy ramen).Noodles 4☆Toppings 4☆Broth 3.5 ☆Thier broth was okay until I hit the bottom half. Thats where all the flavor was (like the garlic). If the cooks mixed the broth a little more maybe I would have tasted the flavor of the broth at the top.The Server was Super Nice and Cool 👍. Super well dressed and it felt like I was at a really fancy restaurant but I loved the hipster environment there. Atmosphere was 5☆ for sure 👌
Mar 31, 2025 · AdventurerJOJO_TTVAwsome food in a very cool spot. My son and I order all off-menue specials and they were all excellent. The staff was very friendly, and the vibe of the place was excellent with art all over the walls. The food did take a bit on the longer side to come out (the only thing close to an issue) but nothing too unreasonable give the quality and everything being made to order.
Dec 12, 2024 · Michael WalkerEverything about this place is mediocre at best. Small portions — food is just me. Decor is art deco type, which is cool but would have preferred more focus on better quality food than decor. Service was super slow and there were only 2 other tables there. You can spend your money somewhere else.
May 27, 2025 · Nathalie TranWe wanted to go for Korean BBQ but the wait was too long and this restaurant had been on our "must-try" list, so we came here instead! I reserved a table but honestly we didn't need it. At 6 pm on a Saturday night, this place was not super busy. Also, don't let the name deceive you. Rosewood Kitchen is an Asian restaurant. Our server was nice and friendly but a little harried. We got the fried chicken karaage and Katsu as well as the steamed dumplings. The karaage was my favorite, followed by the Katsu and the dumplings equally. For the mains, we got a house special Tonkutsu which seemed to be the combination of miso and black garlic, the back garlic Tonkutsu, the garlic noodles with fillet mignon and the fried rice with chicken Katsu. For dessert, we got the green tea ice cream. I tried two of their house special cocktails (sangria and sake) and I hated them both. The soups were wonderful but I definitely enjoyed my friend's black garlic one more than my own house special. The fried rice and garlic noodles were excellent and I think I will go for one of those options in the future.Price wise, it is on point for an Oceanside eatery. We sat outside with at least 2 heaters on an April evening, so I'd recommend sitting inside if you get chilly quickly.
