Took my boy out for an impromptu Dad & Son dinner. He chose the activity/restaurant and wanted hibachi. Sake Bon I was so accommodating for our small group of two. We ordered the kid's filet mignon hibachi and adult shrimp hibachi, which were expertly prepared by the chef with the usual flare. An app of soft shell crab (boy's fav!) and (do NOT sleep on the) Thai Crab Cakes. Delicious. Great service, wonderful experience and a great memory for Dad & his boy.

I have never felt rushed in my life. It was a "get the hell out" situation. Everything came at you all at once. They actually piled the dish of fried ice cream for your birthday behind the full plate of food I had. I had a bad taste from this experience. Oh, and when they sing, happy birthday, they looked like there were better things to do than just have fun with you. Additionally, be aware that gratuity is added automatically. It wasn't a happy birthday kind of place, but the meal was delicious.Also, the bathroom was disgusting. It obviously hasn't been cleaned or at least up kept in a while.

Hibachi for diner, without the onion volcano and sake squirt gun.Listen, when I was a kid, I loved the hibachi hijinks. All the little tricks and jokes the chef would play, they were great, but I'm old now and all I want is my food. Sure I like to watch it being made by a seasoned professional, but don't try tossing shrimp into my mouth or tossing your spatulas around like a juggler. Just make the food.So take out it is, because I don't want to harsh on anyones vibe, and if you're going to a hibachi then you're going for the fan fair. Ordered over the phone, going with the calamari hibachi diner with the fried rice for pickup an hour later. Total came to a little under $29, not bad, especially for the sheer amount of food they give you in a hibachi diner.Pickup was easy, the staff was nice and attentive, so I tipped and was on my way home with my meal. Once home I opened everything up, and I was not wrong about how much food you get. There's of course the calamari, the fried rice, but also sautéed vegetables, clear soup, a ginger salad, and even some noodles. It was clear I was in for a full tummy.Started with the salad and soup, which were both delicious and refreshing, the ginger dressing on the salad was a tad watery but the soup was perfect. Then I kind of picked at everything else till I ate it all. The fried rice and great, with little chunks of fried egg in it. The vegetables were cooked perfectly, with some great savory flavor. The noodles were surprisingly fantastic, a little dry at first but I mixed them in with leftover sauce from the calamari and they really came to life. Now the calamari, was overcooked. It was rubbery as heck, very chewy and squeaky, and there were no tentacles! It was all just the tubes, I think? They were this weird spiral looking calamari I have never seen before, but when I think of calamari I think tentacles and rings. So I was a bit disappointed about that. They also had almost no flavor, and I had to rely heavily upon the sauces they included.Overall, I'd still come back, but maybe not for the calamari diner. Perhaps I should try the shrimp next time?

What a surprise! We needed to grab an early dinner before the Bonnie Raitt concert and decided to try someplace we hadn't been before. SAKE Bon got very good reviews (well deserved), so we gave it a try. First, Renee, our wait staff, was outstanding. She was attentive and answered all our questions. The food was delicious. I got Salmon teriyaki, and my husband had short ribs. Yum. We'll be back!

I've dined here many times before and always had a positive experience—until our last visit in November. We came to celebrate my daughter's birthday with a hibachi dinner (a group of 8, including 4 young children).- We were the only hibachi table, and the restaurant was mostly empty, but the dinner was rushed with salads/soup coming when we didn't yet finish- The waiter abruptly told us there was no Happy Hour, even though it is still advertised on the website.- Waiter's behavior was unacceptable. He picked up on the foreign language my parents were speaking and began rudely mimicking their words- The worst part was when the waiter brought out "Cake Time" glasses for my oldest daughter, who was turning 8 -- a kind gesture. In the past, the restaurant would make balloon animals for all the children. This time, the waiter kept saying, “I bought this with my own money, this is not from the restaurant,” and kept repeatedly upsetting all other children. The children were happy for the birthday girl, but he made things worse by bringing out one additional tiara, excluding the other two children. We asked him to stop flashing the bag of goodies if he wasn’t going to include everyone.I approached the manager (Nate or Nash) asking him talk to the waiter to simply stop. The waiter saw me and went to our table to give the remaining two kids similar tiaras. BUT at the end of the dinner, he took them away from their heads, creating total chaos. The manager was completely unhelpful.We’ll be continuing our birthday hibachi tradition at Azuma from now on.
