Sake Maru was amazing, first time there and will be going back often! One of the best sushi restaurants around Indianapolis. The appetizer's, sashimi, hibachi and fried rice was delicious and the pricing is very fair! They take pride in both quality food and beautiful presentation. The service was welcoming and excellent, the restaurant and bathrooms were was very clean! We had the following - Appetizer's - Hamachi Jalapeño appetizer and Gyoza - Main Meals - Sashimi Deluxe, Chicken Hibachi and Fried Rice (Chicken, Beef, & Shrimp) along with a bottle of Smith & Hook Cabernet 🍷. The main meals came with a salad trio of Seaweed, Tofu & Squid salads along with a bowl of Miso Soup! I can’t wait to come back and try their Poke Bowl!! This restaurant is a must try!

Loved this hidden gem 💎 it's on a busy corner and you prob have passed it a thousand times but make the stop bcus the restaurant is so pretty and comfy! And the food is even better 🙌🏼 great service and somehow kid friendly too. We Recommend!

Absolutely incredible! Went here for the first time for our anniversary and we were blown away by the service, quality of the food and price. My partner and I both got drinks, 2 bowls of ramen and a sushi roll for $75. Delicious food, will definitely be back!

Nice decoration. There were two kids there, they were loud. I assume they were the owner's kids. I didn't mind it but for a quiet business or romantic meal, this would negatively affect the ambiance. The menu and presentation looks nice with items from Japan and Wagyu A5 but the food was sadly extremely disappointing. Had the sushi and sashimi lunch special and when I asked the server what came with it he didn't know and said it's up to the chef. The salad ginger sauce was good until I found a piece that was spoiled. See picture 2. The entree was 3 pieces of Nigiri, and 6 tiny pieces of sashimi. While I was not expecting Japan level authenticity but both the fish and rice were underwhelming. Fish was not fishy but did taste amazing either. California roll was probably the best item. Restaurant is not authentic Japanese owned and they didn't great customers like typical Japanese sushi dojos. Not recommended.

I am Japanese, and the sushi at this restaurant is just as good as the sushi in Japan. I never expected to find authentic Japanese sushi here in Indiana, so I was incredibly excited.Most importantly—really, truly—I want to ask everyone to try the otoro (fatty tuna) here. This otoro is the real deal, just like the kind you would find in Japan. You can enjoy authentic sushi that most Americans have never experienced, so please do not miss it.According to other reviews, the Wagyu stone meal is also supposed to be amazing. As someone who loves yakiniku (Japanese BBQ), I am sure I will love it too, so I am definitely planning to try it next time.I truly hope this restaurant stays around for a long time, so please make sure to visit and support them!
