Sake Sushi Reviews
Overall, Sake Sushi was a good experience. The service was a bit slow and the wait times between each course and payment was uncomfortably long. The presentation of the food is fantastic! I was pleased with what I ordered, but it wasn’t mind-blowing or super memorable. The Mai Tai was delicious! I liked the bamboo, decor, and lighting design throughout the restaurant. Atmosphere and friendly vibes make up for where other things fell short!
Apr 26, 2025 · Dominique SweatNot a bad sushi place I actually liked it, I’ve had way better of course but still it was enjoyable, sake was on point, appetizers also so no complaints. The only thing that I didn’t really like is they were kind of slow, besides that I definitely recommend this place. They also have fried mixed rice and other type of Asian dishes, but I was here for sushi which it wasn’t disappointing at all.
Dec 29, 2024 · swelponeLove this place! We don't live in Columbia, but make it a special point to stop and eat here everytime we drive through. It's worth it. The food is tremendous and the sushi chefs make art of each presentation. I love the Chirashi; although my husband usually orders individual sushi pieces. In this pic, he got the rainbow roll. You can see how the chef really elevated the typical pedestrian roll to a whole new level! Great cocktails, too! At my server's suggestion, I tried the Tokyo 75, a take on the French 75; I don't normally like sake, but what a refreshing drink!Although the servers are always hustling and busy at many tables, they are always friendly. The place is immaculate - and I don't say that about many places. However, it is almost a little too sterile. The ambiance doesn't align with the quality of the food; for example, the bright lights make the place look rather cold.Overall - highly recommend!
Mar 13, 2025 · bee swartzFirst time here. We reserved a table for 6:30 PM, but it wasn’t ready, so we waited 10 minutes in a cramped waiting area. Once seated, no waiter came to our table—we had to ask four times before someone finally took our order, 15 minutes later.Throughout the evening, we kept hearing how "busy" the staff was, but at the very least, they could have served our drinks, miso soup, and salad first while preparing the main course. Instead, our drinks and soup arrived 26 minutes later, all at once—without plates, chopsticks, or napkins. We had to request those separately, along with soy sauce plates. Meanwhile, the table next to us had everything ready as soon as they sat down. When we went to pay, the cashier mentioned that our server was new. We could tell he was genuinely trying his best, and we even saw him checking on our order multiple times. But the issue wasn’t on him—it was the kitchen. I personally saw our food sitting ready 15 minutes before it was finally brought to our table, yet no one called the server to pick it up.The food was good, but unfortunately, that wasn’t enough to make up for the poor service and disorganized kitchen (I saw busier places with excellent service). The constant waiting and repeatedly asking for basic items made the experience frustrating and far from enjoyable.
Mar 09, 2025 · Malika RollanAlways had great experiences here, but lunch today was gnarly. I ordered a tuna avocado roll and a spider roll. The tuna was gray, slimy, and mealy, and the crab was all soggy tempura with gray mush. Definitely not fresh. Both were comped from the bill, but I can't believe they were served. I don't know what the issue was because the sushi on other tables looked great. Again never had an issue here before, but this was wild. Crab rangoon was great
