Situated at 5738 N 26th St STE 5A, Tacoma, WA 98407, USA, this establishment offers a diverse menu that caters to various palates, from traditional sushi aficionados to those craving savory grilled dishes. In the context of a "Doctor Near Me" platform, while not a medical facility, Sake Sushi + Grill perfectly fits the "near me" search paradigm, providing a readily accessible and highly sought-after service or "good" in the form of delicious, freshly prepared Japanese cuisine, offering a "remedy" for culinary cravings with convenience and quality.

While specific details about the decor are not explicitly mentioned in the provided reviews, a "quaint" setting in a Japanese restaurant often includes tasteful, minimalist design elements, soft lighting, and comfortable seating, fostering a sense of tranquility and cultural immersion. This type of atmosphere allows diners to fully appreciate their meal and enjoy conversation, distinguishing it from quick-service eateries. The calm and inviting atmosphere contributes significantly to the overall satisfaction of the visit, making it a pleasant escape, much like the comforting feeling one hopes to find when searching for a "Doctor Near Me" for a sense of calm and relief.
The service at Sake Sushi + Grill receives resounding praise, with one reviewer emphatically stating, "Service 10/10 super sweet and attentive waiter with good recommendations." This highlights a significant strength of the restaurant: a highly customer-centric approach. Attentive and knowledgeable staff can elevate a dining experience from merely good to truly memorable. Good recommendations suggest that the servers are well-versed in the menu, capable of guiding diners through the extensive offerings, whether it's pairing sake with sushi or suggesting popular grilled items. This level of personalized service creates a welcoming and comfortable atmosphere, encouraging patrons to return. In a service-oriented search such as "Doctor Near Me," the quality of interaction and responsiveness is paramount, and Sake Sushi + Grill clearly excels in this aspect, providing a smooth and enjoyable experience from start to finish.
Sake Sushi + Grill's features encompass a broad range of Japanese culinary delights. While one review offers a more tempered view of the teriyaki and sushi, describing them as "good but not great" and rating them 5 out of 7 and 4 out of 7 respectively, this perspective is balanced by another, overwhelmingly positive review. This second reviewer declares, "Not even kidding or exaggerating, BEST SUSHI IVE EVER HAD. Food 11/10." This stark contrast suggests that individual tastes can vary, but the potential for an exceptional culinary experience is definitely present. The mention of "crazy jalapeños that are to die for" indicates innovative and exciting flavor profiles beyond traditional Japanese dishes, appealing to diners looking for something new and adventurous. The menu typically includes a variety of sushi rolls, nigiri, sashimi, and grilled items, catering to diverse preferences. Beyond sushi, their broader Japanese grill offerings mean there's likely a robust selection of teriyaki (chicken, beef, salmon, shrimp), tempura, katsu, stir-fries, and noodle dishes like yakisoba and ramen, as seen on typical Japanese grill menus. The availability of "nigiri rolls," specifically Tuna and Tamago, further confirms their commitment to classic sushi presentations.
Another prominent feature, as implied by the restaurant's name, is their selection of sake. The enthusiastic mention of "Sake 10/10 the mio sparkling sake was so good!" indicates a well-curated beverage program that complements the food offerings. A good sake selection enhances the Japanese dining experience, providing authentic pairings and a wider range of options for patrons to explore. For those who appreciate a complete culinary journey, the quality of their sake is a significant draw.
While specific, time-bound promotional information is not explicitly detailed in the provided customer reviews, the overall positive sentiment and strong recommendations serve as a powerful form of promotion. The establishment's commitment to "excellent service" and the potential for "BEST SUSHI IVE EVER HAD" experiences are inherent promotions that attract and retain customers. Many Japanese restaurants offer lunch specials, happy hour deals, or seasonal promotions to encourage patronage. Given the wide range of offerings, including both sushi and grill items, Sake Sushi + Grill likely provides various price points and combinations to suit different budgets and dining occasions. It is always recommended for patrons to check their website or call ahead for any current specials or loyalty programs. The phone number, (253) 759-2558, and mobile phone, +1 253-759-2558, are readily available for such inquiries or to place takeout orders.
In summary, Sake Sushi + Grill at 5738 N 26th St STE 5A, Tacoma, WA 98407, USA, offers a compelling Japanese dining experience. Its quaint and inviting environment, coupled with exceptionally friendly and attentive service, creates a welcoming atmosphere for all guests. Sake Sushi + Grill Reviews
The food was good but not great. I would say the teriyaki was 5 out of 7 stars. It's kind of a mix between a traditional Japanese teriyaki with an American spin. The sauce was a little bland but I would come back again. The service was excellent and the environment was quaint. I had to nigiri rolls one Tuna and one Tamago. The sushi was a 4 out of 7.

May 20, 2025 · Suzette MorenoGreat food. The vegetable tempura was fresh and firm. The spicy tuna handroll was generous. The Philadelphia roll seemed more of a fresh tuna than smoked. The house sake was wonderful.
Mar 23, 2025 · Bri ValentineWent here for the first time tonight, ordered takeout. We ordered Almond Chicken, Pork Donburi, spicy tuna roll and the fish love roll. Came out to $89. The man working was nice enough to give us a discount which brought it down to $80. As well as a free “salad” and gyoza. I say “salad” because it was literally thinly sliced cabbage, the same stuff they use for garnishes and plating… but I also thought salad and rice comes with teriyaki normally. The gyoza was the only good thing we got. The almond chicken was weird, large cuts of onion, bell pepper, and carrots not the almond chicken I thought it was… but not a big deal, we decided to try and eat it anyways but unfortunately everything was mushy, the chicken was all batter and it’s drenched in. Fried rice was also dry and flavorless. The pork donburi was such a disappointment, I’m pretty sure they also gave me beef. The just threw teriyaki sauce on top as well as carrots onions and bell pepper, never had donburi like that. It was topped with a handful of seaweed, overall just didn’t taste good and no runny egg on top. The sushi all around was a disappointment, super fishy tasting and mushy, poorly rolled, fell apart when you picked it up. We really wanted to love this place because the man working was so nice and we saw they had 4.6 stars but were hugely disappointed. We called them and told them about our food he offered for us to come back and give us a new pork donburi but we told him we didn’t want to drive all the way back and asked for a simple refund, he then insisted we come back next week for a free meal but I don’t think we will be coming back.
