Sakura of Japan Reviews
We have been coming here for over thirty years as I worked in Hazel Dell since the 70s. Always been a good experience. It is been so fun taking family & friends & having huge get togethers. Sometimes taking up 2 tables. Birthdays are often celebrated here. The owners and staff have always been very friendly courteous and prompt in their service. The food is delicious. The steak to die for. We always have leftovers to enjoy the next day. Contrary to some of the previous reviews, we have never had a bathroom problem. We love this place & highly recommend it to anybody that wants a Benihana type of experience with out the high price.
May 31, 2025 · Dennis BrownI went here for my sweet 16 and they were the sweetest, Absolutely amazing serving and the food is AMAZING, I definitely recommend. She did this beautiful artwork on the grill.
Apr 30, 2025 · sophWhat a little gem in the middle of nowhere, Vancouver. We stopped by on a Wednesday evening and while the outside does make it look a bit like a run-down strip mall joint, the interior was clean and cozy. On a Wednesday, the place was pretty empty which resulted in being seated right away and the service being fast. I had the Shogun Dinner Special which included steak, chicken and shrimp plus a choice of rice or noodles. The quality of the ingredients was nothing short of excellent and our food was prepared perfectly right in front of us. This may have been one of the best Teppanyaki I had in a while - the steak was tender and flavorful, the butterflied shrimp was cooked perfectly to just the right chewiness and the chicken expertly prepared and seasoned. The price was quite reasonable, especially considering the great quality and in comparison with what the big chains charge. Just a great experience all around.
Apr 17, 2025 · BjoernThe chicken was so unflavorful and not even really “grilled”, it was like I steamed it at home.(The steak that someone else ordered looked great, so there’s that). The staff was so kind and friendly, and the food was definitely two huge helpings I have enough for lunch for the next day, if that’s any consolation. Maybe I missed this place’s heyday.
Apr 25, 2025 · Lyla RayyanGood food and generous portions. The photo shows the portion taken home and not what was originally given. Staff is very friendly.
