Santo Silverlake Reviews
A MUST! Some of the best sushi I’ve ever had. The chocolate hamachi crudo is incredible! A great date spot and the entire team is top notch!
Dec 12, 2024 · Diego Torres-PalmaI had no expectations and it was a spontaneous decision for a Tuesday dinner, but definitely one I do not regret. The food was amazing on so many different levels. The atmosphere is fun and casual and sitting at the bar solo still felt like I was having dinner with friends. Music is fun but chill and matches the energy of the restaurant and staff. Everyone is smiling and having fun! Will be back very soon!
Jul 03, 2024 · Bev TecsonThe food was pretty mediocre, very expensive, and the vibe was just not it.We were seated outside in the middle of sunset boulevard on a Saturday night, which was extremely loud, busy, and just overall very unpleasant. The hand rolls were very meh, but for $11/$17 a hand roll, we were expecting a little bit more. When the texture was right, the flavour was not. And vice versa.I was specially excited for the truffle handroll and the wagyu (which is $17).The truffle one was tasteless and it came with a sauce that was, to my surprise, truffle oil. And you were supposed to dip the hand roll in the oil, but by doing so, it just made it very oily and it added no flavour at all.The wagyu hand roll seemed very dull and the seaweed was soggy. On top of that, my stomach was very upset after visiting the restaurant.I think this place curates very well their visuals on Instagram and overall their social media presence, but I think they should also put the same effort on their food, so that they can justify the price.PS: our waiter was wonderful and they served the food super fast. So those are the only positive notes.
Mar 09, 2025 · Carolina BallesterosI went for a quick bite and enjoyed really delicious sushi. I was able to sit solo and be seated fairly quickly after lot having a reservation. It is a small place and not a lot of room; it would be great if it was a little bigger. The food is great quality and highly recommend.
Aug 31, 2024 · Natalie MarreroThe food is just incredible, some of the best sushi I’ve had in a while. Unfortunately their reservation system is a bit clunky, which meant that had to seat us in an improvised spot, and we got served a couple of items by mistake. Other than that, an amazing food experience. The fish melts in your mouth and the sauces and spices enhance the flavor of some real fresh fish. Excellent.
