Silverlake Ramen Introduce
For Californians with a serious craving for exceptional Japanese ramen, particularly those residing in or frequently visiting Los Angeles, Silverlake Ramen has established itself as a true benchmark. While the city boasts numerous ramen establishments, this original Silver Lake location has consistently remained at the pinnacle for many discerning diners, often cited as having "hands down the best tsukemen in the city." It's a place where the art of ramen preparation is meticulously honed, resulting in bowls that resonate deeply with authenticity and flavor.
Silverlake Ramen is renowned for its dedication to crafting rich, balanced broths and perfectly cooked noodles. Their tsukemen, a dipping ramen, is particularly lauded for its ideal balance of savoriness and fattiness, a complex profile that keeps enthusiasts coming back for more. Beyond tsukemen, their menu features a variety of ramen styles, including classic creamy pork stock (Classic and Blaze), clear chicken stock (Shoyu and Shoyu on Fire), and unique options like Garlic Truffle and Cajun Mazemen. The attention to detail extends to their toppings, with the "crispy thick, THICK chasu" often highlighted as a standout component.
Recognizing the diverse dietary preferences of Los Angeles, Silverlake Ramen also offers a dedicated vegan ramen option. While some toppings like avocado and lettuce might be unconventional, the broth itself is noted for its "pleasant flavor" and "enough punch to be noticeable," making it a viable choice for plant-based diners. Despite having expanded to multiple branches, many loyal customers attest that the original Silver Lake location maintains a superior quality, cementing its status as a must-visit for any ramen lover in California seeking that ultimate "fatty broth" fix.
Strategically positioned at 2927 W Sunset Blvd, Los Angeles, CA 90026, USA, Silverlake Ramen enjoys a prime and highly accessible location within the bustling Silver Lake neighborhood. This address places it squarely on Sunset Boulevard, a major artery that provides convenient access for a broad spectrum of California residents, whether they're coming from nearby communities like Echo Park, Los Feliz, or even further afield in the greater Los Angeles area.
The restaurant's central location offers good connectivity via public transportation. Numerous Metro bus lines operate regularly along Sunset Boulevard, providing direct routes from various points across the city. While there isn't a Metro rail station directly at the doorstep, several Metro B Line (Red Line) stations, such as Vermont/Sunset and Sunset/Vermont, are within a short bus ride or a manageable walk, making it a feasible option for those relying on public transit.
For patrons traveling by car, parking in the vibrant Silver Lake area, especially on Sunset Boulevard, can sometimes be competitive. While metered street parking may be available in the immediate vicinity, it can fill up quickly during peak dining hours. It's often advisable to allocate a little extra time for parking or consider utilizing nearby paid parking lots if available. Alternatively, ride-sharing services like Uber or Lyft offer a convenient and stress-free way to reach the restaurant without the concern of finding a parking spot. Despite the typical urban parking challenges, the highly acclaimed ramen at Silverlake Ramen makes the journey well worth the effort for many dedicated locals.

Silverlake Ramen Reviews
I tried their vegan ramen recently. The broth had a pleasant flavor, not too bold, but with just enough punch to be noticeable. The avocado and lettuce seemed like odd choices, and the one large piece of broccoli made up most of the toppings. There was some corn, but it was hidden under a few tofu squares and that giant broccoli. It wasn’t bad, and in a pinch, I’d order it again.
October 19 · Daniel CastilloHands down the best tsukemen in the city. I have tried a fair share of ramen around LA, also a few in Japan, and Silverlake Ramen has been ramaining at the top for me for the past years. The savoriness, and the fattiness is just at the right balance. And the crispy thick, THICK chasu is just the best. They have several branches now, but this original location is better than any other locations. Every once in a while when I have that craving for fatty broth, I know this place will be my best bet.
January 04 · Jacey CI’ve been missing good ramen since getting back from Japan. The garlic truffle ramen with pork definitely scratched that itch. Noodles Were cooked perfect and the broth was excellent. Would come here again 👍🏼
March 29 · Collin Lynchthe tonkotsu broth was average. they offer “bottomless” hot tea for $3 but only give you one teabag. one teabag = one cup of tea. so that was a scam.
December 30 · Ali LeaRamen is one of those dishes that I gaslit myself into liking because everyone else does, and each time I order it I juuust don’t see the hype. Well this place might have just changed that forever for me! The ramen is BEYOND anything I’ve ever had. I got the ramen with garlic and truffle (my two favorite things) and it delivered. I actually finished the whole bowl. The broth was sooo good! The tofu pieces were a bit too big in my opinion, but I’ve never been to a ramen place that actually offers tofu as a substitute sooo I’m not complaining. The $20 deal for an app and main dish is a STEAL btw. Please god protect it from inflation!Staff is very friendly too. 10/10
