Snohomish Teriyaki Introduce
Located at 1207 13th St #J, Snohomish, WA 98290, USA, Snohomish Teriyaki offers a convenient and accessible option for Japanese cuisine in the area. Contactable at (360) 568-2000 or via mobile at +1 360-568-2000, this restaurant primarily specializes in teriyaki dishes. When considering Snohomish Teriyaki within the framework of a 'Doctor Near Me' platform, which connects individuals with local services and goods, it functions as a provider of "culinary comfort" and "accessible sustenance." Much like a doctor addresses a patient's immediate health needs, this restaurant caters to the immediate desire for a warm, satisfying meal, contributing to the daily well-being and convenience of the community. It's a place where hunger can be quickly remedied, much like a good doctor provides prompt care for common ailments.
Snohomish Teriyaki positions itself as a local Japanese restaurant, with a clear emphasis on teriyaki, as indicated by its name. Its presence fills a specific niche in the Snohomish area, particularly noted for being "open on Sundays as no other teriyaki place in this area is," a significant convenience for customers seeking this type of cuisine on a weekend. This availability highlights its commitment to serving the community's needs when other options may be limited.
The environment of Snohomish Teriyaki is described as having "charm and character," despite its seemingly unassuming location "tucked in behind KFC at Safeway." This suggests that while it might not be a standalone, high-profile establishment, it possesses a unique personality that resonates positively with customers. The interior likely offers a comfortable and perhaps cozy atmosphere, characteristic of smaller, local eateries.
A consistent positive aspect of the ambiance is the staff's demeanor. Reviewers noted that the "staff was warm and friendly at the front counter greeting with big smiles." This emphasis on friendly and welcoming service immediately creates a positive impression and contributes significantly to a pleasant dining experience. A warm greeting can make customers feel valued and at ease, encouraging them to return.
While specific details about seating capacity or decor are not provided, the description of it as a "little Japanese restaurant" suggests a more intimate setting compared to larger chain establishments. This can contribute to a more personal and attentive service style, enhancing the overall appeal for those seeking a less impersonal dining experience. The focus on a friendly and welcoming staff suggests that the human element is a key part of the restaurant's charm.
The location on 13th St, nestled within a commercial area near well-known establishments like KFC and Safeway, makes it highly accessible for both residents and shoppers. This convenience allows it to serve as a practical stop for a meal while running errands, enhancing its role as a community-oriented establishment.
Snohomish Teriyaki offers an extensive menu of Japanese dishes, primarily focusing on teriyaki. The customer's comment, "The menu is extensive! Wonderful dishes and egg rolls await. Bring hunger," suggests a wide variety of options beyond just standard teriyaki, including popular appetizers like egg rolls. This broad selection caters to diverse preferences and allows customers to explore different flavors with each visit.
The core service revolves around their teriyaki dishes, with chicken katsu being a specific item mentioned in reviews. The ability to customize orders, such as "chicken katsu with no rice or salad with extra meat," indicates flexibility in their service, allowing customers to tailor their meals to dietary preferences or specific cravings. This level of customization is a valuable service that enhances customer satisfaction.
A particularly noteworthy service is their Sunday operating hours. The review explicitly states, "They are open on Sundays as no other teriyaki place in this area is." This provides a crucial service to the community, filling a gap in local dining options and making it a go-to spot for those seeking teriyaki on a weekend. This strategic availability directly addresses a consumer need.
While the service itself was generally described as "warm and friendly," one customer did express a concern about food preparation consistency, specifically "cold spots" in the chicken. This highlights that while staff are friendly, occasional inconsistencies in food temperature might occur, which is an important detail for potential customers to consider. However, this appears to be an isolated concern amidst otherwise positive comments about service and food quality (like the crispy panko breading).
The provision of phone numbers ((360) 568-2000 and +1 360-568-2000) also indicates that takeout orders are likely available, providing convenience for customers who prefer to enjoy their meals at home. This multi-channel access further enhances their service offering.
The defining feature of Snohomish Teriyaki is its extensive menu, offering a wide range of "wonderful dishes" beyond just basic teriyaki. The specific mention of "egg rolls" and "chicken katsu" suggests variety and options for different tastes. The "panko breading was crisped to utter perfection and the chicken was tender" for the katsu, highlighting a mastery of specific cooking techniques that contribute to high-quality dishes.
However, the teriyaki sauce receives mixed feedback. One customer noted a "chunky gel teriyaki sauce," describing it as a "first for me," and another found the katsu sauce to have a "catsup flavor" rather than the expected "smoky plum flavors." This suggests that while some dishes are well-executed, the consistency or flavor profile of their sauces might not appeal to all palates, particularly those accustomed to traditional teriyaki flavors. This is an objective observation for potential diners to consider.
The ability to customize orders, such as adding "extra meat" or omitting rice/salad, is a valuable feature that enhances the customer experience. This flexibility allows for personalized meals and caters to different dietary preferences or hunger levels.
The consistent warmth and friendliness of the staff are also a significant feature. "Warm and friendly at the front counter greeting with big smiles" creates an inviting atmosphere and contributes significantly to customer satisfaction. This human element often sets local, family-run establishments apart from larger chains.
Furthermore, being open on Sundays is a key distinguishing feature, providing a unique selling proposition in an area where other teriyaki restaurants might be closed. This commitment to accessibility on weekends is a notable convenience for the community.
While explicit promotional campaigns are not provided in the information, the customer reviews themselves serve as the primary form of promotion for Snohomish Teriyaki. The positive comments, particularly about the staff's friendliness and the extensive menu, act as organic endorsements that can attract new customers through word-of-mouth and online reputation. The phrase "Worth a try" serves as a direct recommendation, encouraging potential diners to experience the restaurant for themselves. For a 'Doctor Near Me' platform, such genuine, albeit varied, customer testimonials are crucial for providing an objective and informative overview of local services.
The unique selling point of being "open on Sundays as no other teriyaki place in this area is" acts as a strong promotional hook, directly addressing a specific market need. This highlights the restaurant's availability and convenience, which can be a significant draw for customers.
The overall value proposition at Snohomish Teriyaki appears to be good, despite some concerns about sauce and temperature. The combination of an extensive menu, friendly service, customizable options, and convenient Sunday hours offers a compelling reason to visit. Even with some reservations, customers still rate it as "worth a try" and give it a solid 4 stars (in the case of the katsu review), indicating a generally positive experience and good value for the price. Much like a 'Doctor Near Me' provides essential and accessible care, Snohomish Teriyaki offers a convenient and generally satisfying solution for Japanese comfort food cravings within the Snohomish community.

Snohomish Teriyaki Reviews
They are open on Sundays as no other teriyaki place in this area is.I've ordered here a few times, and have had some concerns. Mostly being the chucky gel teriyaki sauce, this is a first for me and I eat teriyaki often... I wont be going here again, as the chicken this time around had cold spots in it which was really concerning.
May 29 · Jennifer CTucked in behind KFC at Safeway in Snohomish, this little Japanese restaurant is bristling with charm and character. The staff was warm and friendly at the front counter greeting with big smiles. The menu is extensive! Wonderful dishes and egg rolls await. Bring hunger.I ordered chicken katsu with no rice or salad with extra meat. The panko breading was crisped to utter perfection and the chicken was tender. The sauce was a bit of a deterrent for the katsu. The normal smoky plum flavors weren't there. Had a catsup flavor. If this sauce was better for this particular dish, Snohomish Teriyaki gets a 5 star, this time, for me, it gets 4.Worth a try.
February 14 · Douglas B.Pretty good size portions, you can eat inside now during Covid, food was delicious! Clean, and quiet. There was flies flying around,, but I've seen them in a lot of restaurants and stores lately.
October 11 · Maria ReyesNot too bad. After living back east for six years, any teriyaki is a welcomed treat. This place has huge portions and good flavor. I work Sundays, so this has become a go-to for me. Always fast and friendly.
December 04 · Robert BeyerI like spicy chicken teriyaki but this place had the worst spicy chicken I have ever had. First of all it wasn't even close to being spicy at all I mean we are talking no spice period, also I don't know what kind of meat it was but it tasted nothing like chicken at all. That is the first and last time I will ever eat there a complete waste of my money. If I could leave no stars I would cause some places don't even deserve the only they make us leave just to write a review and this place is definitely one of them.
