Choosing Suishin Restaurant is an excellent decision for anyone in the Minnesota area who is looking for a truly authentic and high-quality Japanese dining experience in a serene setting. The primary reason to visit is the quality of the food. The sushi is made with exceptionally fresh ingredients, and the dedication to this is evident in every bite. While some menus might claim authenticity, Suishin backs it up with a selection that includes classic delicacies like Chirashi and the highly-praised ikura sushi, a sign of true Japanese culinary expertise. A customer review reinforces this, praising the exceptional quality of dishes like tuna ball, eel pizza, and tonkatsu. This consistent quality across the menu is a key differentiator that makes Suishin a reliable and rewarding choice.
Furthermore, the menu extends beyond sushi to offer a variety of cooked dishes that are just as impressive. The bento boxes, available for lunch, are a perfect example of this. They provide a complete and satisfying meal, with a main dish like chicken or salmon, along with sushi rolls, salad, rice, and soup. This makes it a great value and an easy choice for a midday meal. For those who are not fans of seafood, the chicken katsu is a highly recommended and filling alternative. It's a testament to the restaurant's ability to cater to diverse tastes while maintaining a high standard of quality.
The atmosphere and service also make Suishin an exceptional choice. The cozy, quiet, and romantic ambiance sets it apart from louder, more casual establishments, making it an ideal setting for an intimate dinner. The staff is noted for being attentive and quick, which enhances the dining experience without feeling rushed. A customer review highlights this, praising both the chef and waitress for their excellent service. The presence of a full bar with a great wine list also makes it an excellent place to unwind. It's important to stick to the menu items to ensure the best experience, as noted in a helpful review. The ramen, which is an off-menu item, may not be a specialty, but the rest of the menu, from appetizers to entrees, is highly praised. Suishin Restaurant Reviews
We love suishin! I always get the chicken katsu because I'm not a big fan of seafood - it comes with so much food (soup or salad too)! My husband loves the sushi as well
May 26 · Ali HawleySuishin Restaurant in North Oaks offers a fantastic menu with delicious options like edamame, negimaki, ikura sushi, eel pizza, and tonkatsu—each dish was truly exceptional. However, I made the mistake of ordering ramen, which wasn't on the menu, based on a previous Google review. There's a good reason it’s not on the menu—the ramen had an unpleasant smell like pig feet and tasted like watered-down broth. Stick to the items on the menu; they won’t disappoint! The ramen mishap was my fault, but overall, Suishin is a great spot for authentic Japanese cuisine.
August 19 · Sarah MathreWhenever I go here I always enjoy my time. The food is always delicious and fresh from the master sushi chef. The waiter/bartender is always very kinds and helpful as well. I loved hearing about his bees! Am looking forward to the next time I visit to come again!
July 12 · Maria S.When we arrived we were immediately seated and then we ordered and got our food really fast, the atmosphere was also really nice and was SUPER clean! Anyways I ordered ramen and I was struggling with chopsticks so the staff offered me a fork, which was nice of them. The ramen was also really amazing. Also they have really cool sinks.
