Sushi Erika is conveniently located at 1700 John F Kennedy Causeway #100, North Bay Village, FL 33141, USA. This address places it right on the bustling causeway that connects Miami Beach to the mainland, making it easily accessible for residents of North Bay Village, Miami Beach, and other neighboring communities like Surfside and Bal Harbour.
One of the distinct advantages of Sushi Erika's location is its presence within a strip mall, which typically offers the convenience of "plenty of parking." For added ease, customers have noted that "parking spots are labeled with the restaurant's name," helping to ensure a smoother arrival. The John F Kennedy Causeway is a major artery, ensuring that driving to the restaurant is straightforward. While it's a popular spot, its location allows for manageable access, even during busier times. For those utilizing public transportation, bus routes that traverse the causeway would likely have stops within a reasonable walking distance, connecting locals to this highly recommended sushi destination. The small, clean, and inviting space, though bustling, is well-worth the convenient journey.
Sushi Erika is dedicated to providing a high-quality sushi experience with a focus on fresh ingredients and excellent customer service. Here's what you can expect from their offerings:
Dine-In Service: Enjoy your meal in a "small, clean, and inviting space" with a "great vibe." While it's a popular spot and might involve a "waiting list" upon entry (where you write your name, arrival time, and seating preference), the wait is consistently described as worthwhile. Seating options typically include both bar and table seating.
Extensive Sushi and Roll Menu: Sushi Erika offers a wide variety of fresh sushi, sashimi, and specialty rolls. Popular customer choices include the "Rainbow Roll," "Dragon Roll," "Supernova," "Bonsai," and "North Bay" rolls. They are celebrated for being "bursting with flavor, incredibly fresh, and expertly prepared."
Chef Recommendations: The sushi chefs, particularly Yoel, are known for their excellent recommendations. The "JR Roll" has been specifically highlighted by customers as "the best one by far," demonstrating the chefs' expertise and willingness to guide diners to new favorites.
Top-Quality Fish: A core component of their offering is the commitment to "top-quality fish." Customers repeatedly praise the "incredibly fresh" nature of the ingredients, which is crucial for an authentic and delicious sushi experience.
Solid and Attentive Service: The staff provides "solid service," ensuring that your dining experience is smooth and enjoyable. This includes an organized waiting list system and attentive care from the sushi chefs and servers.
Takeout Options: While the primary focus is often on the dine-in experience due to the freshness, Sushi Erika also offers takeout for those who prefer to enjoy their delicious sushi at home. Information suggests they are available on popular food delivery platforms like Uber Eats, indicating convenient ordering for locals.
What makes Sushi Erika a must-visit destination for sushi lovers in Florida? Its distinguishing features and consistent highlights are what keep customers coming back time and again:
Unmatched Freshness and Flavor: This is arguably Sushi Erika's strongest suit. Customers consistently use terms like "incredibly fresh," "bursting with flavor," and "everything was delicious!" to describe their food. This commitment to quality ingredients is paramount for an authentic sushi experience.
Expert Sushi Chefs: The presence of skilled chefs like Yoel, who not only prepare the food "expertly" but also provide fantastic recommendations (like the "JR Roll"), adds a personal and knowledgeable touch that enhances the dining experience.
Popular Signature Rolls: The menu boasts several highly recommended signature rolls, including the "Rainbow Roll," "Dragon Roll," "Supernova," "Bonsai," and the "North Bay," all of which are lauded for their unique flavor profiles and superior preparation.
Great Vibe and Inviting Space: Despite being a "small" restaurant, it offers a "great vibe" and is described as a "clean, and inviting space." This comfortable ambiance contributes significantly to the overall enjoyment of the meal.
Efficient Waiting System: For a popular place that doesn't take reservations, the waiting list system (where you write your name, arrival time, and seating preference) is noted as an effective way to manage demand and ensure customers are seated as efficiently as possible.
Consistent High Quality: The repeated sentiment of customers wanting to "come back" and finding the experience "simply that extraordinary" speaks volumes about the restaurant's consistency in delivering top-tier sushi and service.
While the primary appeal of Sushi Erika lies in its consistently high quality and fresh ingredients, it also aims to provide excellent value to its patrons. As a popular local spot, certain offers might be available to enhance the dining experience, though a high-end sushi spot often focuses on the intrinsic value of its product rather than deep discounts.
Happy Hour Specials: Public information indicates that Sushi Erika does offer "Happy Hour Specials." These typically include discounted prices on select menu items, such as certain rolls, appetizers, or beverages. This can be an excellent opportunity for locals to enjoy a taste of Sushi Erika's renowned freshness at a more accessible price point.
Lunch Offers: While not explicitly detailed, many popular sushi restaurants, especially those open during lunch hours (Wednesday to Saturday from 12:00 PM - 5:45 PM and Sunday from 12:00 PM - 4:45 PM), often feature special lunch menus or bento box deals. It's advisable to inquire directly about any such midday promotions.
Seasonal or Chef's Specials: Given the emphasis on fresh ingredients and chef recommendations, it's highly likely that Sushi Erika features seasonal specials or "specials board" items. These often highlight unique fish or innovative roll creations that are available for a limited time, offering a new experience for regular customers.
To get the most accurate and up-to-date information on any current promotions, happy hour times, or special menu items, it is always recommended to contact Sushi Erika directly via phone or check their social media channels if available. Given its status as a highly sought-after destination, booking a table, or arriving early for happy hour, might be a good strategy.

Sushi Erika Reviews
Sushi Erika is the real deal!!! Everything we ordered was incredibly fresh and full of flavor— We ordered Rainbow Roll, Dragon Roll, Supernova, Bonsai, and North Bay. They were all delicious!! Yoel, our sushi chef, was awesome. He recommended the JR Roll, and it did not disappoint. It was the best one by far!!Great vibe, top-quality fish, and solid service. Can’t wait to go back!
May 30 · Oriana SMy sister found this amazing place through reviews, and we finally visited it on Sunday!Sushi Erika is located in a strip mall with plenty of parking. It is a small, clean, and inviting space. The parking spots are labeled with the restaurant's name.Upon entry, there is a waiting list where you must write your name, arrival time, and seating preference (bar, table, or either). We waited a little before getting seats at the bar. We ordered a wakame salad, a rainbow roll, a dragon roll, a bonsai roll, a supernova roll, and a North Bay roll.Amazing! Everything was bursting with flavor, incredibly fresh, and expertly prepared! We arrived hungry, but by the end of the meal, we were left craving even more! It was simply that extraordinary! We asked Yoel, our sushi chef, and he recommended the JR roll. OMG! It’s the best one!Coming back!!
May 30 · Yilian SivoliThis is what you call a hidden gem. The sushi dishes were delicious. Fish tasted fresh and the service was really good. The green tea cheesecake made in house was the highlight dish for me. Can’t wait to go back.
February 26 · NoeA nice quiet spot to enjoy fresh sushi and other Japanese dishes just off the JFK Causeway.Their opening hours are limited and no reservations. It’s a small place and quite popular, so good chance you have to wait for a table. But it’s worth the wait. The service is fast and friendly. The staff are very knowledgeable about what’s on the menu. The standouts for me were the hotate (scallop) sushi, the mackerel sushi and their hamachi handroll… all exceedingly fresh. The crunchy shrimp roll was also delicious. You can order one sushi of each variety here - vs the usual two piece minimum. And their sushi size is small - which is like how it’s served in Japan. Not like the larger sushi more typical in the US.It was an intimate experience - like you were in someone’s home. No frills here. Just good food. The prices were on the high side (in particular for the potions - as mentioned before). But then quality costs more and they are sourcing very good n fresh seafood here.
May 07 · Hassan ElnahasI came here from a Reddit recommendation for another casual sushi spot if you don’t want to deal with Katana’s waitlist. Had 3 rolls and they were good, fish tasted fresh and seaweed wasn’t too chewy. I didn’t care much for Marie roll (the sauce flavor was too strong) but the simple rolls were good though small. Overall I recommend if you’re in the area.
