Each roll, with its unique name and combination of ingredients, is a work of art. Beyond the rolls, the authentic Japanese food menu is also highly recommended. The a la carte options, such as the nigiri and sashimi, are perfect for appreciating the quality of the fish on its own. The "Yellowtail Jalapeno" appetizer is a standout for those who enjoy a bit of heat and a zesty flavor. For those who enjoy a warm meal, other traditional Japanese food items are available. The drink menu is also a great part of the experience, with the great selection of beer, cocktails, and sake providing a perfect accompaniment to your meal.
While some reviews mention challenges with service during busy periods, the consensus from many patrons is that the exceptional food quality and large portions more than make up for it. The a-la-carte menu and the variety of options cater to everyone from the sushi connoisseur to a group with diverse tastes. The fact that the restaurant is a "Japanese cuisine gem" in the Twin Cities, according to one reviewer, and that the quality is high enough to be recommended by someone who has been to Japan, speaks volumes. August 01 · Emily WahlI’ve been to this restaurant in the past. It’s newly renovated since the last time we came in. Amazing sushi with zero service. Rolls were well designed and crafted. Price went up dramatically. Average atmosphere and decor per its price. Warning if you’re Asian and not dressed up. The local senior customers were quite demanding - servers were very busy chatting with those ladies and maintaining good relationship. Servers did not recognize other customers were ready to order, nor had time to bring food from chef to the table. We do appreciate the thinner male server checking on us during the meal and refill our hot water. I had been watching our prepared sushi from the chef, ready for us, for 5mins. The sushi was just seating there in room temperature, exposed - just a few steps away from us. No one was paying attention to bring it to our table. The chef had to call store manager to bring it to us. Did not feel welcomed from the moment we walked in - front desk was not happy seeing Asians coming in. Despite there were a lot of open tables, we were being seated close to the restroom and kitchen, and it’s very busy where servers need to walk by us a lot. It would be great if we could be seated near the window or away from the restrooms.
July 16 · Zoey ZouSushi Fix is hands down my all-time go to spot for sushi. My wife treated me to a late Father’s Day dinner and as always, we had an amazing time. The recent renovation really opened up the space. It feels more inviting and much less cramped, which makes the dining experience even better. The sashimi was incredibly fresh, and the rolls were generous in both size and flavor. We’re regulars when it comes to the udon noodle, silly roll, and sashimi platter. Everything on the menu consistently delivers bold, delicious flavors. While the price can be on the higher end, the top-notch quality and unforgettable taste make it well worth it. Sushi Fix isn’t just a meal. It’s an experience we keep coming back for.
June 22 · LaDamion VangHigh-quality sushi! My wife and I love it here for date nights. Always a fan of the Double D roll (and not just because of my name…it’s good!). Their space was limited recently due to a remodel project, but I believe that’s nearing completion (or done at this point).Sushi rolls are in the $15 to $30 price range depending on if it’s a speciality roll or not.
May 10 · Dan DeBaunEvery time I come I have great service, so this is not a review on the servers.I have a few critiques.1. The rolls lack depth of flavor that I have gotten from other sushi restaurants. I think it’s mainly to do with the lack of proper rice seasoning2. The pieces of the rolls are absolutely massive and hardly fit in your mouth. Makes for an uncomfortable eating experiencePersonally, I find with the of lack of finesse and flavor these rolls are too expensive to justify.Once the flavor has been improved I believe that they could potentially represent the price better.
