Sushi House Reviews
Such a great little hole in the wall place! Very tiny space, but very quick service. We were in and out within 35 minutes. The staff were all super nice and speedy. The sushi itself was really good ! My friend and I split the Cowboy Roll, Cougar Roll, Dragon Roll and California roll. They were all so fresh and reasonably priced- most rolls were $12-$15 which is pretty standard. Overall we’d come back easily !Note: the sodas are canned, not foundation.
Dec 19, 2024 · Kelley HBest quality sushi I had in Texas! Cute interior and pretty rolls, perfect for a date night. I definitely recommend the Toro Heaven Roll and the Romo Roll.
Apr 21, 2025 · Aaron ParkThis little spot on Lovers Lane is a truly hidden gem! I went there to celebrate my birthday with my neighbors, and one of them is a huge Japanese food fan—he knows his stuff. He couldn’t stop raving about how the food here is way better than those pricey $50–$60 buffets, and honestly, I have to agree. The sashimi was unbelievably fresh, something you don’t come across often in Dallas. If I could give it six stars out of five, I absolutely would!
Mar 14, 2025 · JeongDisappointing First ExperienceI’m not someone who likes to assume discrimination or "pull the race card," but unfortunately, my experience here left me feeling uncomfortable and unwelcome.I walked in with positive energy, a friendly attitude, and genuine excitement about trying sushi for the first time. Instead of being met with warmth or assistance, I was greeted with total awkwardness and what felt like dismissiveness.I told the young man who took my order that it was my first time trying sushi, hoping he would offer guidance or recommendations. He didn’t. He didn’t smile, wasn’t friendly, and it felt like he was rushing me out. Maybe he was having a stressful day but when I'm having one at my job, I still try to keep the same cheerfulness throughout my entire 10-hour shift. There was no menu with pictures and without any helpful direction, I ended up picking something blindly. I genuinely wanted to try something simple, like a California roll, to ease into the experience, but unfortunately, their sushi is only fish-based and raw.The atmosphere and music were lovely, which made the lack of hospitality even more disappointing. This may trigger some people with fragility, but I couldn’t help but feel that if I looked different, maybe I would’ve received better service. As someone who is always cheerful, respectful, polite, and positive in every environment, it was hurtful feeling judged and dismissed based on my appearance. In the end, I threw the sushi away because as silly as it sounds, my experience made me lose my appetite. So congrats on the donation. I won’t be returning but I'm not giving up on trying sushi from a more friendlier environment. Please do better humanity. Spread love and positivity.
Apr 10, 2025 · JazzyIf it’s good sushi, I’m all for it!The food was indeed fresh (very good considering different restaurants). I would definitely come back. The Louisiana roll (not pictured), was really good as well. Next time I’ll definitely try another specialty roll.I didn’t have any problems, although the restaurant is a bit small, so keep that in mind when going. I went on a Friday right when they opened in the evening time.
