Sushi Konami Introduce
For individuals utilizing platforms like "Doctor Near Me" to find services in their local area, the pursuit of convenience often extends to include nearby dining establishments. After a medical appointment, during a day of errands, or simply when looking for a meal that fits into a busy schedule, the accessibility and quality of local restaurants become a relevant consideration. In this context, Sushi Konami in Auburn, WA, presents itself as a Japanese restaurant offering sushi and other Japanese fare, potentially catering to the culinary needs of those in the vicinity.
Sushi Konami is located at 1410 Lake Tapps Pkwy SE Suite H103, Auburn, WA 98092, USA. This address suggests its placement within a commercial or retail complex, indicating relative ease of access for both local residents and individuals visiting the area for various purposes, including professional or medical appointments. Its presence within such a hub implies it aims to serve a diverse customer base seeking convenient dining options. For inquiries or to place an order, Sushi Konami can be contacted at (253) 987-5202 or via mobile phone at +1 253-987-5202, offering direct communication channels for potential patrons.
The environment of Sushi Konami is not explicitly detailed in the provided reviews beyond a brief mention of a "weekend stroll" leading to a stop by the restaurant, which suggests a casual and accessible setting suitable for a spontaneous visit. As a sushi restaurant, it would typically feature a dining area with tables and possibly a sushi bar. Given its location in a suite within a commercial parkway, the ambiance is likely geared towards a comfortable, perhaps unpretentious, dining experience. The focus, as indicated by the reviews, leans heavily on the food itself rather than an elaborate or particularly noteworthy interior. This kind of setting is often preferred for those seeking a straightforward meal without the fuss of a more formal dining experience, which can be ideal for a quick bite after an appointment or during a busy day.
In terms of services, Sushi Konami appears to offer both dine-in and takeout options, as indicated by the customer's experience with "ordered takeout a bit back." The ability to order ahead of time is a convenience for customers, especially those with time constraints. The core service revolves around the preparation and serving of sushi and other Japanese dishes. However, a significant aspect of the service, as revealed by customer feedback, is the variability in food quality, dependent on "the 'good' chef." This suggests that the consistency of the culinary outcome is not always guaranteed, which can impact the overall customer experience. While takeout is a service provided, the quality of this service, particularly concerning consistency, is a key point of consideration for potential patrons.
The features of Sushi Konami revolve around its menu of Japanese cuisine, specifically sushi rolls and tempura. When the restaurant is "on their game," features include "flavors accurate to description," "shrimp tempura fresh and big," and "ingredients generous." Specific sushi rolls mentioned include "Gold Cali" (described as "solid") and "FutoMaki" (described as "okay"). Other dishes like "Lion King" and "FBI" rolls are also part of their offering. However, these positive features are subject to considerable variability. When the quality is inconsistent, the "shrimp tempura" can be "stale" and "very small/barely there shrimp," with some tempura lacking any shrimp entirely. The "FBI" roll, when not at its best, "tasted very different" and "barely had krab on top." There have also been "bad luck with lunch bentos," leading to a decision to avoid ordering them during lunch. This highlights a significant feature of the restaurant: its inconsistent execution, making the quality of specific dishes a variable.
Promotional information is not explicitly provided in the given customer reviews. However, the varying customer experiences, particularly the "hit or miss" nature, implicitly serve as a form of information for potential customers. While the positive instances of "amazing" food could act as a promotional draw, the negative experiences of "expensive disappointment" could deter. The suggestion to "maybe just stick to weekends" implies that quality might be more consistent during certain periods, which could be a subtle piece of promotional advice for maximizing a good experience. Without specific details on actual deals or marketing campaigns, the restaurant's reputation is built on the direct experiences of its patrons, which are currently mixed.
To provide an objective introduction, it is essential to present both the positive and negative aspects of the customer feedback. The reviews clearly indicate a significant inconsistency in food quality at Sushi Konami. While, at its best, the food can be "amazing" with "fresh and big" tempura and "generous" ingredients, there are also instances of "stale, overcooked taste," "barely there shrimp," and "barely any krab." The perception of needing to "hope you get the 'good' chef" is a critical point that potential diners must consider. The advice to avoid "lunch bentos" and to "stick to weekends" suggests known periods of inconsistency. This variability creates a risk for the customer of an "expensive disappointment" if the quality is not up to par. Despite moments of excellence, the lack of consistent quality is a significant factor in the overall objective assessment of Sushi Konami.
In conclusion, Sushi Konami in Auburn, WA, offers Japanese cuisine, including sushi and tempura, in a convenient location accessible to users of "Doctor Near Me." While capable of delivering "amazing" and "delicious" food with fresh ingredients and generous portions when the right chef is on duty, the restaurant's defining characteristic is its "hit or miss" consistency. Patrons have experienced significant variability in food quality, particularly with tempura and certain sushi rolls, and suggest avoiding lunch bentos or perhaps sticking to weekend visits for a potentially better experience. For those in the Auburn area seeking sushi, Sushi Konami offers the potential for a very satisfying meal, but prospective diners should be aware of the reported inconsistencies and manage their expectations accordingly, perhaps considering it for a weekend visit when quality is reported to be higher.

Sushi Konami Reviews
We've patronized this place several times with us ultimately deciding it's hit or miss and you just have to hope you get the "good" chef.We ordered takeout a bit back when we had guests and the food was amazing. Flavors accurate to description, shrimp tempura fresh and big, Ingredients generous. It was so good we decided to order 4 of our favorites tonight. Gold Cali was solid and FutoMaki okay. The Lion King would of been good if they hadn't used stale "shrimp" tempura (very small/barely there shrimp) and the FBI was a flop, tasted very different, barely had krab on top and most of the tempura lacked any shrimp with the stale, overcooked taste for what was there. In the past we've had bad luck with lunch bentos to the point we just don't order during lunch. After tonight I'm think maybe just stick to weekends. If they're on their game, they're definitely one of the better options and can be very delicious but if they're not it's an expensive disappointment.

Feb 21, 2024 路 Michael ChangThe absolute best sushi in South King County. You won't find any better! The sushi is always fresh and they have a HUGE variety of specialty rolls to keep even the pickiest eater happy. My favorite rolls are the Big Crunch, Mariners, Ruby, and Bestfriend. My husband didn't even like sushi that much before we came here, and now he LOVES sushi. He's become more adventurous with the rolls he tries, too! Our absolute favorite thing about Sushi Konami is the 3 rolls for $35 deal. We get stuffed to the gills for a very reasonable price. And our kids love eating here too! The atmosphere is very intimate, with a small sushi bar and less than 10 tables. So make sure you put your name in early if you don't want to be stuck waiting during a busy time. The staff is always very friendly and the service is always excellent. I don't say this is the best sushi place around lightly. Nobody can compare to the freshness, flavor and staff.
Jan 20, 2024 路 Nicole WilliamsThe sushi here was delicious and fresh, and the chicken kara-age was the best I鈥檝e ever had anywhere. I鈥檓 glad we came here on a whim. I also appreciate the lengthy happy hour (11AM -5PM)! We would definitely make the trip out here to come back again.
