Sushi Ryusei

216 E 39th St, New York, NY 10016, USA

4.0
The sushi bar was fully booked, so I was seated at a table instead. Unfortunately, sitting at a table doesn’t offer quite the same experience as the sushi bar. The service was slow and inattentive, and I didn’t appreciate the manager’s dismissive attitude. While it’s not entirely the restaurant’s fault—I should have booked much earlier to secure a better spot—it was a hard lesson learned, and I may not return.(Original)Went to celebrate my daughter’s big day with her! This is one of my favorite neighborhood restaurants. Master Chef Ohyama is a true sushi artist, crafting sushi that is both stunning and delicious. We always opt for the sushi omakase at the counter so we can watch him work his magic. Service was warm and attentive. If I ever won the lottery, I’d be here every week without question! - Dora Nobi
