Sushi Time Reviews
Atmosphere was amazing and the staff was very friendly especially Tony. It's always a pleasure going in and he makes you feel at home. I ordered red curry with chicken and white rice. It was amazing. There level 2 spice level was not that hot but would definitely go up to level 3 if you can handle the spice. Also their Thai tea was delicious.
Jul 29, 2024 · Nina MeasI’ve been to many sushi restaurants and also have had sushi from a grocery store. I can compare this sushi to a grocery store quality. It’s not the best but not the worst. The service and ambiance were good. I did enjoy the dumplings which to me was the star of the show. They have other options on the menu besides sushi which I will try next time but the reason why I chose those place was the BOGO sushi. I guess you get what you pay for so I’m not mad but wish they used less imitation crab and cream cheese. I had 2 lobster option sushi rolls and only tasted the cream cheese and imitation crab. Try it for yourself because everyone’s taste buds are different. I eat out everyday so I do try a lot of places but doesn’t mean I like the same things as you. Great place overall and I’ll be back to try the curry and other options. What we ordered:Water with lemonTom yum soup with shrimp (not good)Thai dumplings (amazing)Calamari (expensive for the quantity)4 different sushi rolls (gas station quality)

Dec 12, 2024 · Stephanie CameronWelcome back to another sushi review by the Ginga Ninja!!! 🫚🧑🏼🦰🥷😂Tonight, we are reviewing Sushi Time! Located in Raleigh, NC, off Falls of Neuse and Strickland road. That said, my wife and I were in the area and just wanted a good-sized snack if you will 😅 and one of our go-to's is Sushi, so I hot Google to see what was around.. Sushi Time came up, and based on the good / decent reviews, food pics, and moderate pricing, we decided to pop in and give them a whirl! That said, it was odd to walk in at 5:30 p.m. and only see 1 other couple in a restaurant that could easily sit 60-80 🫣🤔 but we sat down anyway. Our server Gabriel was really nice and accommodating, and the bartender, who was likely tue manager, was also quite hospitable, so I will give credit where credit is due.The restaurant itself was rather bland.. Just a sushi bar, some older looking tables that were too close together (make sure you get a booth if you go), and blue walls.. It just didn't have any character or sense of "this is our business, who we are, are, and what they're about."At any rate, we ordered a bottle of hot sake, a plate of crispy gyoza, and I believe it was a 16-piece deluxe sashimi plate as well. The crispy gyoza came out piping hot and were certainly tasty but were quite small compared to traditional gyoza or even those I've had at most other restaurants. The sashimi wasn't bad, but anyone who eats a lot of sashimi knows it should be served around a certain temperature range.. Ours came out, not only very cold, which means they are only trying to preserve it as long as they can, but it tasted just a little a little fishier than what I'm accustomed to. Credit for the REAL fresh ginger, though (not that pink stuff soaked in pickled sugar water).I'm sure we are a little spoiled, though, as we typically go to places such as M Sushi, Elements, Waraji, Sushi Mon, City Market Sushi, etc..At any rate, here's a couple photos for everyone. This is the Ginga Ninja, and I approve this message, lol! 😂
Nov 18, 2024 · Wesley GarrettThis is a really good sushi restaurant. We always prefer buy one get one free sushi because feeding a family of 5 is $$. So the BOGO sushi is a definite plus but the sushi itself is really good! I also love Thai Red Curry and theirs is excellent. So no complaints on the food! The service is very friendly, attentive, and fast! Unfortunately they’re never very busy which makes us sad because we want them to stay in business. The ambiance is uninspiring and could use some better warmth and atmosphere, but otherwise we always have good experiences here! Would recommend!
