TAKATO Reviews
So good, a must try! Service was excellent. Drinks at the bar before dinner were delicious. Highlights from the meal were the scallop and crab sushi, angry chicken, and tempura shrimp. Kimchi fried rice was also very good. Our waitress was extremely friendly and helpful. Highly recommend!
May 26, 2025 · Megan McGrathI had the pleasure of dining at Takato in Fort Lauderdale this past weekend with my daughter to celebrate my birthday, and it was an absolutely unforgettable experience. From the moment we walked in, the ambiance was stunning—modern, elegant, yet warm and inviting, with a breathtaking view of the ocean. Our waiter truly made the evening exceptional. Not only was he attentive and knowledgeable about the menu, but he also went above and beyond to make me feel celebrated on my special day. From a personalized birthday greeting to a surprise dessert that was as beautiful as it was delicious, his kindness and professionalism made me feel so special. The food was divine! Takato’s menu is an innovative blend of Japanese and Korean flavors, and everything we tried was a masterpiece. The Wagyu Tacos were a burst of flavor, and the Sushi Rolls were fresh, artfully presented, and absolutely delicious. We also had the sliders which were perfectly cooked and paired beautifully with its accompaniments. Not to mention, the cocktail menu was just as impressive. My daughter and I tried a couple of their signature drinks, and they were both perfectly balanced and refreshing—a delightful complement to the meal. The combination of exquisite food, outstanding service, and the stunning oceanfront setting made this the perfect birthday celebration. Takato isn’t just a restaurant; it’s an experience. I can’t recommend it highly enough, and I can’t wait to return!
Apr 19, 2025 · Gemma CesarioThis is by FAR the best restaurant I have ever been to. I am from NYC & this fish does not compare. The service was absolutely amazing. The waiters attention to detail took us above & beyond. He had realized I was left handed when placing my silverware. It was absolutely worth every penny. I would fly to just come here. Please ask for Federico when coming!!
May 19, 2025 · Mar HnSome of food was good but not all. Fires were great. Brussels spouts great. Oysters were dressed up with too many ingredients which made it seem like they weren’t fresh, and they didn’t taste fresh. Udon was good very fishy if that’s what you want. Duck was fantastic. Freshwater eel was mid.
May 30, 2025 · kevin cabreraWe were able to snag a seat at the sushi counter and the stars of the night were by far the Brussels and the California roll (made with the most delicious blue crab). Our server wasn't as attentive/checking in to refill drinks often because he had tables too and every time anyone was being seated and walked by the sushi bar, the hostess said hello in Korean and the entire sushi bar staff said it back....on a busy weeknight we heard this no less than 20 times during dinner which was a bit distracting. We still would go back but try to sit outdoors instead.
