Takeshi Sushi Teriyaki Reviews
I really do not like posting bad reviews, but I come to this restaurant every few months for sushi or teriyaki and the service has just gone down so bad. After my experience today, I will not be coming back. This is unfortunate as they are local to me and have been my go to sushi or teriyaki salmon spot for years, but quality and customer service matters to me more than convenience, especially in this economy.1) If you currently on, April 8, 2025, press the website linked onto the google info for this restaurant, it will bring you to spam links, not the correct website to review the menu and place your order. I called the restaraunt for help with this and they said they will text me a menu because they just got an order from another customer with no problem with the website. He tells me the website to go to is takeshisushi.com, which is definitely not the website. I ended up just finding the correct site from an old e-mailed receipt from a past online order.2) Peek over the front counter and you will see how dirty the kitchen is. It looks like it is never cleaned3) the man helping checkout was also working the stove and frying pan but did not have gloves on. He walked over to checkout and took my phone for apple pay. No gloves in sight.4) the tall man who preps the sushi and occasionally will check you out if he is alone or short staffed (as they frequently are), is not customer service centered. He will actually go back and forth with a customer instead of solving the concern of the customer. My concern today was that I located the correct website from an old e-mailed reciept so that I could place and pay for my lunch sushi special beforehand, making it easy to just come in, sign my receipt, and go. I got there only to be told I need to pay because I wasn’t charged. I had an e-mailed reciept with an order number, so I was confused and explained that I paid online and have a receipt to show them. This conversation was with the man helping at checkout, but then the tall man preparing sushi pitched in and began going back and forth with me, with a raised voice and talking over the sushi he is preparing. Disgusting. I ended up checking my bank account to confirm I wasn’t charged already and I wasn’t so I hesitantly paid “again” for my food. All of this just to get home and the sushi rice was overcooked and mushy and extremely too much in proportion to the roll. I threw it out half way through the meal. Won’t ever be back and I unfortunately don’t recommend anyone else go here either.
Apr 09, 2025 · KOnly sharing my review of the food because it's a primarily a take-out restaurant! My notes are that the sushi is the best thing to order here and it gets VERY busy during lunch special rush hours so order ahead on their direct website (although slightly more inconvenient than the ordering apps). Been coming here for many years since it opened and I keep coming back.
Mar 21, 2025 · Maddy StoopackThere is absolutely NO excuse why I had to wait FIFTY minutes for my food. And even THEN, it was only half the food and I had to wait OVER AN HOUR for everything else. This isn't even a sit down restaurant, and even there I have never had to wait this long. I reminded them multiple times about my order and they kept prioritizing Doordash orders. Only AFTER I started getting angry did they even START my food. And the sushi was MID at best. Didn't even give us wasabi and ginger until we asked. Never coming here again.
Feb 15, 2025 · Shadab TajwarSushi is made fresh when ordered with fresh ingredients. Lot of the bad reviews are dramatic. Go to a gas station if you can't wait.
Mar 01, 2025 · MichaelVery disappointed! If I could give no stars I would. I was extremely hopeful because of the good rating. All of the sauces was watered down(duck sauce, salad dressing etc) I order 3 roll which was ok. They didn't really have a taste to themI ordered (Over Rice) w. Egg301. Katsu Don Pork. It was extremely rubbery and they charged me full price even though I only wanted the pork Katsu and not the sides that should have been something that was told on the phone.A family member picked the steak teriyaki bento box. The meat was floured for some reason and inedible. The tempura had no taste except for the greasy that it was deep fried in.This was NOT a good experience at all and we NOT try them again.
