Jan 07, 2025 · Midian Pratamaordered the chef’s choice set & the sake, anago, spicy tako, and toro taku rolls. the rolls in my chef’s choice set were kani, spicy hotate, gochujang shiromi, salmon skin, and unagi - i’d only order the unagi again. out of the extra rolls we ordered, the sake and toro taku were the best. i didn’t love that the chef’s choice set was mostly rolls with protein chopped to shreds & drowned in sauce to the point where you couldn’t really taste the protein, but i enjoyed the non-spicy rolls, service, and atmosphere enough that i wouldn’t rule out coming back in the future

Highly recommend!‼️the reservation for hand roll bar and omakase are different, and you get two different sections in the restaurant. Make sure you know which one you reserved (we were confused..)

Went to celebrate a new career move and tried most of the menu 🤭My husband got the chefs choice of hand rolls and they were all unique and delicious and came with a miso soup for a great price. I loved the tuna tartare and ninniku crudo as a starter, the crispy rice is always a yum as well.

I liked the flow of the layout and seemed very inviting to go to the back where the omakase bar was at.We sat at the bar upfront, which was the handroll bar. Each handroll mostly varies from $7-$8 unless you wanted a more premium roll, which was $18-$27.The drinks were alright. I got the Kemuri To Hi ($18), which was a little more syrup-y than I would've liked.The waitress and staff were all very friendly and helpful when we had questions about the menu.I think that I just may be finding it hard to justify $7/8 for a handroll (chopped up fish) when that is also the going rate for nigiri in the area.The rolls were tasty in their own right. Nori was crisp, and the fish was fresh. My favorite two rolls were the Shime Saba and the Chili Ebi.The Crunchy Spicy Akami didn't really come together. Also, I didn't like how mashed the tuna came (but again, this might just be me being new to handrolls)Overall, I really loved the interior as my favorite part of the meal. I think if I ever came back, it would be to try the lunch or dinner omakase.Like I said, it seemed like they had good fish - but I feel like if it's chopped or mashed, the price should be closer to $4-5 per. Also, I wish they offered Nigiri Ala Carte. Would have been a good test of what they may have to offer in an omakase setting.
