Tendon Tempura Carlos Jr sounds like a strange name for Japanese tempura but let me tell you-it was delicious!! You place your order on an app terminal at the counter along with your name then they call you when it’s ready. It’s pretty easy and you see the pictures of the food. Service is pretty quick but everything is made to order.The tempura batter (#4 Special Tempura Plate) was light, not a bit oily, super crispy and tasted so good on the fish, shrimp, squid and fresh veggies! The dipping sauce, steamed rice, fried egg and miso soup was very nicely presented on a tray along side the main plate.The meal was filling and satisfying. In my opinion it’s better to order the plate versions vs. the bowls as it’s presented better and you get more!

The bowl may look small but they put a mountain of different kinds of tempura pieces. My favorite piece of tempura is the fish and shrimp. Lightly battered and fried to perfection.
