TenTen Reviews
Really great happy hour - $10 rolls & cocktails, $24 wagyu unique burger. The cocktails were delicious; I found the hibiscus spritz to be a little too tart so our lovely server brought some cane sugar simple syrup and sprite. The other drinks were amazing as is, I especially enjoyed the green tea cream soda (comes in nonalcoholic!)The maki rolls were all really good; I would say the flavor of the scallop was my favorite. It was earthy, fresh, and just the right texture (not too chewy). We loved the bold and rich flavor of the king salmon maki…the crispy Brussels sprouts pieces were an amazing touch. Hamachi was also good. The umami wagyu burgers were a highlight of an already great happy hour meal. The flavors complemented each other so well, and individual elements stood out in each bite. The ashes of my ex cheese was an amusing touch.Desserts were also good; the matcha creme brûlée was 😍😍😍. The raspberry yuzu nice cream is NOT ice cream, it’s a nice almost mousse texture and the toppings gave a variety of interesting pairings.Presentation was pristine for each dish. Service was fantastic. Definitely one of my favorite happy hours we’ve done here in Austin!➕takes inkind!
May 24 · Marina HartungWent in for a solo dinner night & had a wonderful time. The staff was super welcoming & had great recommendations. Hamachi roll, scallop roll & the nigiri spread were top notch. The manager, Chris, was the highlight of the night. Super accommodating, hands on with the service & went the extra mile to make sure I was enjoying everything. 10/10 would recommend!!!
April 25 · Karleigh CokerIf you’re looking for a modern Japanese dining experience that truly stands out, TenTen in Austin is the place to be! We recently visited to celebrate my fiancée’s White Coat Ceremony, and the restaurant made the occasion just as special as the milestone itself. From the ambiance to the service and, of course, the food, everything was top-notch.One of the best parts about TenTen is how well they cater to different dietary preferences. As a vegetarian, I was thrilled to see a dedicated plant-based menu, and we didn’t hold back—we practically ordered everything from it! The charred edamame and Brussels sprouts were definite highlights. Both had a great kick of heat and layers of unique flavors that made them stand out from your usual appetizers. For sushi, we loved the mushroom and avocado maki. These weren’t your typical simple veggie rolls—each had a depth of flavor and thoughtful ingredients that made them feel just as indulgent as any specialty roll. Our friends who eat fish and chicken were just as impressed, with the Chicken Karaage getting a special shoutout. Their take on Japanese-style chicken fingers was a crowd favorite! To finish off the meal, we indulged in the matcha crème brûlée, and wow—it was a game-changer. The matcha twist made it rich yet balanced, and it was easily the perfect way to end the night.TenTen delivered on all fronts, making our celebration even more memorable. Whether you're a vegetarian, a sushi lover, or just someone looking for an upscale yet welcoming spot in Austin, I highly recommend giving it a try!
March 01 · Drew Patel5 stars all around for me! I had a lovely experience here! All the dishes my group ordered were chef’s kiss! The Edamame, the Brussels (my favorite) the Hamachi Carpaccio. I had the spicy tuna Maki roll and A5 wagyu maki roll- they were delicious, probably some of the best sushi rolls I’ve had. I will definitely come back here, thank you to our amazing waiter and the host or manager for a great evening!
March 29 · MeganWhat more can you ask for? Amazing staff, Alex helped us at the bar and the service was unparalleled. The food, 10/10 and I highly recommend trying the mushroom maki. Drinks were also 10/10. Great atmosphere. Best happy hour in Austin, hands down. Also, my girlfriend is gluten -free and they could not have been more hospitable.
