In the bustling heart of Anacortes, Washington, located at 910 11th St, Teriyaki Time stands as a local culinary gem, offering a delightful escape into the world of Japanese comfort food. While the name might evoke images of a medical facility on a platform like "Doctor Near Me," in this context, Teriyaki Time is clearly a restaurant, providing sustenance and culinary satisfaction rather than medical services. Imagine searching for "Doctor Near Me" for a quick fix for hunger or a delicious antidote to a craving for Japanese flavors, and Teriyaki Time would be your unexpected but welcome discovery.
For those in Anacortes and the surrounding areas seeking a reliable spot for Japanese cuisine, Teriyaki Time (phone: (360) 588-8025 or +1 360-588-8025) offers a welcoming atmosphere and a menu brimming with familiar favorites. The restaurant positions itself as a go-to for hearty and flavorful Japanese dishes, making it a valuable resource for locals looking for a convenient and satisfying meal.
Teriyaki Time is described by patrons as a "nice little spot," suggesting a cozy and unpretentious environment. This intimate setting likely contributes to a relaxed dining experience, perfect for a casual lunch, a quick dinner, or a comfortable meal with family and friends. While specific details about the decor are not provided, the consistent mention of it being a "spot" implies a straightforward and functional layout, prioritizing comfort and ease of access over elaborate design. It’s the kind of place where you can feel at home, focusing on the food and company rather than being distracted by overly formal surroundings. The unassuming nature of the environment allows the quality of the food to take center stage, creating an inviting atmosphere that encourages repeat visits from a loyal customer base.
The service at Teriyaki Time receives a mixed but generally positive assessment. While one reviewer noted the service as "okay, not super friendly but attentive enough to do the job," another customer's experience highlighted an extraordinary level of attentiveness. This particular review shared a compelling anecdote about an arm amputee customer who, on a previous visit, had to manually dip their California Roll in a side cup of spicy mayo. On a subsequent visit, the restaurant beautifully laid out the sauce directly on the sushi, demonstrating a remarkable “attention to detail” that was described as “TREMENDOUS.”
This exemplifies a service philosophy that, even if not overtly effusive, is deeply thoughtful and responsive to customer needs. It suggests a team that observes and adapts, potentially without explicit instruction, to enhance the dining experience. This level of personalized service can transform a regular meal into a memorable one, fostering a strong sense of loyalty among patrons. The quick service is also consistently praised, indicating efficiency in preparing and delivering orders, which is a significant advantage for those seeking a timely meal without compromising on quality.
Teriyaki Time's menu boasts a range of Japanese staples, with certain dishes consistently earning high marks from diners. The **teriyaki** and **chicken katsu** are frequently singled out as being "really good." The chicken katsu is particularly lauded for its crispy texture, a testament to proper preparation. While the katsu sauce was found to be "too sweet and thin in consistency" by one reviewer, the overall enjoyment of the katsu itself remains high. This highlights a restaurant that excels at delivering on the core elements of its popular dishes.
The **California Roll with Spicy Mayo** is another standout, with one customer expressing "love at first sight" for this particular combination. The consistency in taste and presentation, even with minor variations like the sauce application, indicates a commitment to quality ingredients and preparation techniques. However, some dishes, such as the **tempura udon** and **spider roll**, received more nuanced feedback. The tempura udon was noted for being excessively hot, leading to soggy noodles after a necessary cooling period. The spider roll, while "okay," suffered from overly mushy rice and a thin "eel" sauce that caused the roll to fall apart. These points suggest that while the restaurant has clear strengths, there might be inconsistencies across its broader menu, making it "depend on what you order." This provides helpful guidance for new visitors, suggesting they lean towards the highly recommended teriyaki, chicken katsu, and California roll.
Despite these minor critiques, the overarching sentiment is that the food is "always delicious," and the kitchen is "always quick with everything." This consistency in flavor and speed contributes significantly to the restaurant's appeal as a reliable choice for Japanese cuisine in Anacortes.
While no specific promotional offers were provided, the consistent positive reviews from loyal customers serve as the most powerful form of promotion for Teriyaki Time. The story of the amputee customer's experience, in particular, acts as a compelling testimonial to the restaurant's commitment to customer satisfaction and attention to detail, which often resonates deeply within a local community. Such genuine displays of care and service are invaluable in building a strong reputation and fostering word-of-mouth recommendations.
For local users in Anacortes and those searching for "Japanese food near me," Teriyaki Time presents itself as a practical and enjoyable dining option. Its focus on well-executed comfort food, coupled with attentive service, makes it a reliable choice for various dining occasions. The accessibility of its location on 11th St also adds to its convenience for both residents and visitors alike. In an era where online reviews and personal experiences heavily influence dining choices, Teriyaki Time's positive customer feedback underscores its value as a significant contributor to the local culinary scene. It’s a place where patrons can expect a satisfying meal and, often, a pleasantly surprising level of personal attention, ensuring its continued popularity in the Anacortes community.

Teriyaki Time Reviews
Nice little spot. Service is okay, not super friendly but attentive enough to do the job. Food is pretty good depending what you get. Teriyaki and chicken katsu were really good. Katsu was crispy. Katsu sauce just okay though too sweet and thin in consistency, not my favorite. Tempura udon was so hot I had to let it sit for almost 15 minutes and by then the noodles were soggy. Spider roll was okay as well. The rice was way too mushy and the 'eel' sauce was so thin is soaked into the rice and made it all fall apart. So overall good spot just depends on what you order.
May 14, 2025 · Darnell KeboBefore meeting my partner, I had never been to Teriyaki Time but when she introduced me to it - it was love at first sight. I ALWAYS order a California Roll with Spicy Mayo, and it had been normal- I’d order, there would be a cup on the side with my sauce, however the last time I went, I had some trouble. I’m an arm amputee and while I can use chopsticks to grab and dip, sometimes my wrist gives out. I don’t think they knew this but we went recently (my third time there) and the sauce was beautifully laid out on the sushi for me. There’s a large chance that they just did it because they are trying new plating methods or whatnot but even then, their service and attention to detail is TREMENDOUS. I 100% recommend this place, their food is always delicious and they are always quick with everything.

The sushi chef is nice also and the rolls are always very good and the crunch rolls have a great sauce on them. I tried a new dish today the bimboo (Korean dish I did not spell it correctly) but this dish was amazing snd super good. I will be having it again. The food is always quality and control and also soft regulations.
