Tokyo Japanese Grill & Sushi Reviews
If I could give this review a negative five star review I would.Update: I ended up getting food poison from here. I’m on week 3 of this mess and it’s just now starting to clear up. Do not eat here.I was also informed they allow their kids in the back and they touch all the food after playing on the floor…. so again, do not recommend. We usually go here instead of a place on 66.The portions usually are great, but the last couple times have been less than stellar. Tonight, I ordered a bunch of food to feed four people $75 worth. The food was dry so I put white sauce on it. I got to the bottom of my meal and saw a hair in my food. A few minutes later, my mother found hair in her food, in the bottom side of the tray, and then my husband found hair in his after he dumped white sauce on the food. Again, found near the bottom off to the side.My husband and I went back up there to get a full refund for our meals because finding hair in one plate , okay, we can let that go, but finding multiple hairs in THREE DIFFERENT plates is unacceptable! The hair was black by the way. So when he showed the staff the plates, the manager said she would not refund anything since the food was half eaten or almost done and that the hair was blonde not black. My husband showed them the hair in the plate, in the food, in person! The manager argued that the hair was blonde. Literally took the hair out of the plate and put it against a light… and then THE MANAGER LOOKED IN MY KID’S PLATE, FOUND A HAIR, AND SAID IT WAS BLONDE NOT BLACK! Y’all…. NOT OUR HAIR! It was IN THE FOOD! And, it’s not our fault we saw the hair in the BOTTOM of the trays after we started eating the food! We would’ve preferred to find the hair way before then on the top trust me because that’s disgusting. So he came back out to tell me they refused to refund us. I went back in to talk to the manager because that’s unacceptable. The manager made the decision to ignore us while we waited 10 minutes “because dine in guests are priority.” A customer is a customer folks.Bottom line: Beware eating here. You get hair, swirly stomachs, dry food, and all for the upscale price of a low quality restaurant.
Feb 04, 2025 · A DWe came in for the first time and we love the sushi! We also had hibachi and my steak was cooked perfectly. The service was amazing and Melody was very helpful with her knowledge about gluten free options! We would definitely come back!
Mar 10, 2025 · Amanda LankfordI recommend not eating here ever again we will not be. If I can give negative rating I would. Lastnight ordered some food for me and my family. Four trays with two apps to share right around $75.00. I bring it home my found a hair in the bottom the tray we didn’t think anything of it. Then my mother in law had a hair in her tray. Thought ok this is getting gross. I continue to eat and at this point I’m inspecting every bit then I found one in my tray. I said this is just beyond nasty. I told my 5 yr old to stop eating. We are taking this food back. I went in the restaurant, bringing the food back into the manager. Manager went on to say that it was blonde hair and it was not. It was black hair and it was short black hair all three strands, and she said that she was not going to do anything because most of all the food was eaten I said well that is not my problem. That’s when my wife and my mother found the hair and I was Eating slower than them so then I was able to catch it before I finished my meal and she goes to say that there’s nothing I can do that. I won’t do anything. The best I can do is give you remake two meals. I said no I don’t wanna eat here. I just want my money back and she’s like I can’t do that so so I left went out to the car explained to my wife what was going on then she decided that she wanted to talk to the manager, so we walked back in and asked for the manager and the front end girl said that it’s gonna be a couple minutes she’s making sushi. So we waited about 10 minutes and the manager still didn’t come back out in my eyes. She was avoiding the situation and while we’re waiting, I noticed that their house scored was kind of low. There was a 96.5. Just poor customer service poor food hasn’t been always this way. Just watch out when you’re eating out because people are doing shady stuff and not taking ownership of it.
Jan 18, 2025 · Joshua DiMeoAll of the food is good, I have no complaints when it comes to customer service. I usually get jumbo shrimp with noodles and vegetables, and it has always been great, as well as the soup. All of the fish I've tried there are really good as well though.
Jan 04, 2025 · Drake MabeWe are new to the area. My family and I went here for dinner on a Sunday. Service was great, food tasted great, however, I ended up with food poisoning. I was the only one who ordered rolls with raw fish. So thankfully my kids (5 & 1) & my husband did not get sick. It’s been 4 days since we ate here and I’m still sick. Headed to the hospital today. We will not be eating here again. Still on the hunt for a good sushi place. This is not it apparently.
