Tokyo Shokudo

100 E Algonquin Rd, Arlington Heights, IL 60005, USA

3.0
I was greeted with a fully operating food court of awesome Japanese dishes. Had a fantastic bowl of beef udon with some potato tempura sides. You don’t see much of this in the US, as most of our malls are no longer around. It felt like a fun trip back in time, but with Japanese food as the focal point. Well lit and comfortable to navigate. Prices are reasonable too. Big portions from what I could see at most of the other food shops. The supermarket has plenty of imported drinks that you can buy and bring into the food court. No alcohol though. I grabbed a carbonated ginger drink that was a perfect compliment to my udon bowl. - Craig Johns

  • "Fantastic" Beef Udon: One reviewer specifically praised the "fantastic bowl of beef udon," noting the delicious sauce and crispy, juicy karaage chicken as sides. This indicates a strong offering in their noodle and fried chicken categories.

It's worth noting that while many reviews are positive, some customers have had mixed experiences regarding consistency in taste (e.g., "food is not that tasty," "fish that I ordered was dry") and service speed ("had to wait quite a while for the food"). However, the overall sentiment points to a generally satisfying and authentic experience.
