Been here twice now and while the food is decent, I’m not getting the hype. Ramen was ok and the Killer Noodle was just ok for me. I admit the think char siu and noodle texture is pretty good though. Broth, not so much. Thankfully there wasn’t a line this time, which made is better than last visit but would not wait to try them again. Just one dish left to try, the Tsukemen. Service was fast and friendly though and certainly not at all bad, just not getting the hype and so many better ramen spots in my opinion. - David Cho

Features / Highlights

TSUJITA LA Artisan Noodle has carved out a niche for itself by specializing in particular styles of ramen, earning it a devoted following among noodle connoisseurs.

  • Specialization in Tsukemen: This is arguably TSUJITA's most celebrated offering. Tsukemen, or "dipping noodles," is a ramen dish where the noodles and broth are served in separate bowls. The thick, chewy noodles (often served cold or at room temperature) are dipped into a concentrated, rich, and intensely flavorful hot broth. TSUJITA's Tsukemen broth is renowned for its depth, often described as a thick, rich pork and seafood broth. This unique eating style allows for a distinct appreciation of both the noodle texture and the concentrated broth.

  • Signature Tonkotsu Ramen: Beyond tsukemen, TSUJITA is also highly regarded for its Tonkotsu Ramen. Tonkotsu is a creamy, opaque pork bone broth, traditionally simmered for many hours to extract maximum flavor and collagen. TSUJITA's version features tender chashu (braised pork belly slices), seasoned egg (ajitama), wood ear mushrooms, seaweed (nori), and green onions. The broth is noted for its richness, providing a deeply savory experience.

  • Killer Noodle (Mazesoba): For those who enjoy a soupless ramen experience, TSUJITA offers the "Killer Noodle." This is a type of mazesoba, a Japanese dry ramen or soupless ramen, where the noodles are tossed with a savory sauce, various toppings, and sometimes a bit of broth on the side. This dish offers a different texture and flavor profile, focusing more on the chewiness of the noodles and the intensity of the sauce and toppings.

  • Thick Char Siu and Noodle Texture: Customer reviews frequently praise the quality of their ingredients, particularly the thick, flavorful char siu (pork belly) and the excellent texture of their noodles. The noodles, especially those for tsukemen, are thicker and chewier than typical ramen noodles, designed to perfectly cling to the rich dipping broth.

  • Spice Level Options: For those who enjoy a kick, TSUJITA offers spicy versions of their Tonkotsu Ramen and Tsukemen. Reviewers note that when it comes to spice, "they did not mess around with the level," indicating a satisfying heat for chili lovers.

  • Fast and Friendly Service: Despite its popularity and occasional lines, TSUJITA LA Artisan Noodle consistently receives commendations for its efficient and welcoming service. The staff is noted for being fast and friendly, ensuring a pleasant and smooth dining experience.

  • Desserts and Sides: Beyond their main noodle dishes, TSUJITA offers a selection of appetizers like Karaage (Japanese fried chicken), Gyoza (dumplings), and Takoyaki (octopus balls). They also feature unique desserts such as Tsujita Pudding (Hojicha and Matcha flavors), providing a sweet conclusion to the meal.

Promotions or Special Offers

While TSUJITA LA Artisan Noodle does not regularly advertise ongoing blanket promotions, it's worth noting that they have historically engaged in notable special offers, particularly when opening new locations or for specific events. For example, there have been instances of "Crazy Rich Ramen" promotions with highly premium ingredients at a significantly reduced price, or special pricing for their Chashu Ramen. These types of unique, limited-time offers tend to generate significant buzz and long lines.

For locals, staying updated on such potential promotions would involve following their social media accounts (like TikTok, where they are active) or checking their website directly. Additionally, when ordering through delivery services like Uber Eats or DoorDash, be sure to check for platform-specific discounts or introductory offers, as these are common. While a daily happy hour or standard discount might not be the norm, keep an eye out for special events or limited-time menu items that often come with promotional pricing.
