However, the restaurant's immense popularity and the consistent willingness of customers to endure "over 1-2 hours" wait times suggest that its primary appeal lies in the exceptional quality and authenticity of its food and the unique dining experience it offers, rather than relying on promotional pricing.
In a highly sought-after establishment like Udon Mugizo, the 'special offer' often manifests as the guarantee of a truly superior product. Udon Mugizo Reviews
This is my favorite shop in SF Japantown. The broth is nice and smokey and is simply the best udon broth you can get. I also love that their age in the kitsune udon is so thick and much heartier than traditional abura age pouches. It's a perfect bite with the handmade noodles. Also, you must add the ginger and daikon into the dipping broth for the tempura. It's changed the way I eat tempura! We love this place so much that we even took our engagement photos here. This place holds so many good memories of us as a couple as this was one of the first places we bonded about when we realized we were both udon people (over ramen).

Great taste and dinner/ lunch option in Japantown.Mentaiko udon so creamy, it’s like a udon carbonara. The udon and rice combo sets are also such a good value if you want to try a little bit of everything.Wait can be long, you can add yourself to the Yelp waitlist ahead of time!
May 27, 2025 · Tiffany SunIt was my first time having dinner with my girlfriend and her sister. They chose the dinner destination and I went along for the ride. It was a great ride. I didn't realize the restaurant was in a place considered to be Japan Town. The building was loaded with Japanese inspired stores. There are restaurants, grocery stores, gift shops, and dessert bakeries. Udon Miguzo was our choice for the evening. The atmosphere was lively. It's a smaller restaurant so things felt a little more intimate. The staff was smiling and friendly. I ordered the Beef Udon bowl and a craft soda. The Udon was delicious and filling. The soda came out in a bag with lights in it. I didn't expect the soda to be served that way but it made it more fun. Everybody enjoyed their dinner and our experience. 10 out of 10, I recommend!!
Mar 03, 2025 · Jeremy FunesI've always wanted to try this place whenever I'm in Japantown and glad I finally did. My boyfriend raves about this place and rightfully so - it's delicious! The udon noodles are the perfect density. The broth had a really good flavor to it too. The wait for 2 on a weekend day during lunch was only 20 minutes, so not bad at all. We wandered the shopping center while we waited.
