I found this place by accident while waiting for a concert. The menu is beautiful. There is a wide variety of food to choose from. The tables are spacious and the bathroom is clean. I recommend the raw fish menu. Overall, I was impressed with the taste and price. The only thing that bothered me was the beef teriyaki. You should not order it.

First time here. Prices are reasonable. Just drove by and decided to try it out. Honestly it did not disappoint. Definitely a hidden gem. Everything was good. Very fresh. The service was amazing. 1 guy was waiting on everyone and he was on top of it. Great service great food and a nice atmosphere. Will definitely be back.

Update 12/28/24Talk about consistency! Every single time we come to Ueno (and we're regulas at this point) , we can count on fresh seafood, excellent portions, and great service. Top notch on every visit.We found this place on Yelp, and as usual, they didn't steer us wrong. We ordered the salmon skin salad which was delicious! It was filled with crunchy skin, had just the right amount of dressing, and fresh greens. I will for sure order that again. San Pedro roll and the salmon skin roll were good as well. Lastly, we got the chicken gyoza, which I devoured as soon as it hit the table. The service was just average, but since they just reopened indoor dining, I won't begrudge them that. Luckily, this place is close to home and not very expensive so I'll be back! Next time, I'll take some pictures.Updated 1/23At this point, I've ordered the salmon skin salad at least 5 times and it's consistently delicious. Additionally, the sashimi dinner special and the dynamite scallop are also great.New update 3/24Talk about consistency! My new favorite obsession is the Vic & Jo's roll plus the old faithful, salmon skin salad.

By far some of the freshest cuts of fish that I've had in Los Angeles. The cuts of meat are meaty, fresh and simply divine. My colleague and I ordered Omakase and couldn't have been happier. The sushi chef obviously understands that it is an honor when someone leaves their dining experience in his hands. From the sushi chef to the entire staff we were extremely happy and can't wait to go back. Check out the pictures and you will understand.

Definitely one of the best local sushi joint in Torrance. It was our stomping ground up until we moved to Texas in early 2023. No frills, just great sushi, intimate atmosphere and great service. I was fortunate to be able to stop by and dine here during a business trip in early April 2024 and had the opportunity to catch up with John, the owner. Ueno is one of the few sushi restaurant in the South Bay where you can find the freshest cut of otoro sushi around (fatty tuna belly) and just simply quality cuts of sashimi and sushi. Plenty of parking in the private lot but it does fill up quickly during the early dinner rush.
