Umai Umai Reviews
so impressed with this place! brussel sprouts were probably the best i've ever had, so many textures and so delicious. the scallop carpaccio was amazing and such high quality fish; i've tried raw scallop at a few other nice places in the city and didn't like the taste but it was soo good here. and the miso soup was loaded with tofu! overall such good quality for the price, and we love a byob!
Jan 05, 2025 · Melissa Bensley (Mel)Hands down the best sushi I've ever had, Brussels sprouts a must try. Service was great and place looks so fancy. Definitely worth ever penny!! Looking forward to another trip from NY to Philly just to go back to this awesome place! Also they will accommodate for larger groups my friends and i visited this past weekend and had a great time.
May 06, 2025 · Cynthia CabreraVery intimate neighborhood BYOB sushi spot. Not many tables in the restaurant and no music was playing, so you could hear a lot of chatter. The must have on the menu is the brussel sprouts - OMG so delicious! I will be dreaming of them. The portion size of the sushi seemed small, and I got the shrimp tempura roll where 2 out of the 6 pieces had tails on them. I am not personally a fan of that, so 1/3 of the roll was almost inedible. The flavors were good and everything was fresh.
Apr 07, 2024 · Ariana LucidonioFood was really good. Presented in a nice, appetizing way.Sat outside which was nice, but the atmosphere out there is not great. You are literally at a metal table on a small sidewalk with cars and buses going by. BUT, we asked to sit outside because it was a lovely night. Next time, I might try inside.
May 10, 2024 · DGRIt is okay for people who want a chilled nose vibe with a BYOB. Great place for a casual first date, when you don’t really know the person and don’t want to spent too much money on alcohol, Whole Foods is just around the corner. Would I call it one of the best sushi places - no, but definitely recommend to come as it very cute. Reminded me of Spain a bit, in terms of decorations and the weather was great +29C. Cute for the vibe, but only outside, not for the food. Food is okay.
