This prime spot places it just off the main Las Vegas Strip, making it easily accessible for locals from various parts of the valley while still being convenient for those near the resort corridor. Situated on West Flamingo Road, a major thoroughfare, Umiya Sushi benefits from high visibility and straightforward navigation. Ample free parking is typically available, which is a significant advantage for diners in Nevada. Its proximity to landmarks like The Palms Hotel & Casino means it’s a well-known establishment in a lively area, making it a natural choice for a casual dinner, a celebratory meal, or a late-night sushi craving.
Umiya Sushi offers a comprehensive menu designed to cater to a wide range of Japanese food lovers, with a particular emphasis on their popular All-You-Can-Eat (AYCE) concept. Here’s a breakdown of their primary services:
- All-You-Can-Eat (AYCE) Sushi: This is Umiya Sushi's signature offering, allowing diners to enjoy an extensive selection of sushi, sashimi, rolls, and other Japanese dishes for a fixed price. The AYCE menu often includes:
- Diverse Sushi and Sashimi: A wide array of fresh fish options like Tuna, Salmon, Yellowtail, Albacore, Escolar, and more, available as nigiri (fish over rice) and sashimi (sliced raw fish).
- Extensive Roll Selection: Both traditional maki rolls (like California, Spicy Tuna, Salmon) and a creative array of special rolls, including baked rolls (e.g., Baked Salmon Roll, Japanese Lasagna Roll), tempura rolls (e.g., Flamingo Roll, Snow White Roll, Kiss of Fire), and fresh rolls (e.g., Rainbow Roll, Philadelphia Roll).
- Appetizers: A variety of hot and cold appetizers such as Miso Soup, Tempura Noodle, Seafood Dynamite (scallop, shrimp, mushroom baked in dynamite sauce), Baked Oyster, Chicken Katsu, Pork Belly (though some reviewers note this can be average), Bulgogi Fries, Gyoza, Crispy Rice with Spicy Tuna, Baked Mussels in Dynamite Sauce, and various Edamame preparations.
- Other Japanese Dishes: Beyond sushi, the AYCE menu often extends to include other cooked items like Teriyaki, Tempura, Yaki Udon, Soba, Hibachi Entrees, Fried Rice, and Noodles, providing a complete Japanese dining experience.
- A La Carte Options: While famous for AYCE, Umiya Sushi also offers a traditional a la carte menu for those who prefer to order individual items.
- Late-Night Dining: Umiya Sushi is a popular choice for late-night cravings, staying open until 12:30 AM daily (with last seating typically around 11:30 PM). Their late-night AYCE deal (around $21.95, though prices can change) is particularly popular.
- Family-Friendly Environment: The restaurant welcomes families, making it a great spot for group gatherings. They offer options suitable for children and can accommodate various party sizes.
- Takeout and Delivery: For ultimate convenience, Umiya Sushi provides takeout services and partners with delivery platforms like Uber Eats and DoorDash, allowing locals to enjoy their favorite dishes at home.
- Full Bar & Happy Hour: Umiya Sushi features a fully stocked bar offering wine, draft beer, and cocktails, complementing the meal. They also have happy hour specials, though details should be confirmed directly with the restaurant.
Umiya Sushi has built a strong reputation in the Nevada community by consistently delivering on quality, variety, and service. Here are some of its key features and highlights:
- Exceptional Value for AYCE: One of the most frequently praised aspects of Umiya Sushi is the incredible value offered by their all-you-can-eat menu. Customers consistently highlight the freshness and quality of the food relative to the price, especially the late-night deal, making it a legitimate and affordable option for high-volume sushi consumption.
- Freshness and Quality of Ingredients: Despite being an AYCE establishment, Umiya Sushi maintains a high standard for the freshness of its fish and ingredients. Reviewers frequently commend the delicious and perfectly prepared items, from nigiri to rolls and oysters.
- Speedy and Attentive Service: The service at Umiya Sushi is a major highlight. Diners often remark on how quickly dishes are served, even when the restaurant is busy, and praise the staff for being super nice, attentive, and friendly. This efficient service ensures a smooth and enjoyable dining experience, even with a time limit on AYCE.
- Diverse Menu Beyond Sushi: While sushi is central, Umiya's menu extends far beyond, offering a broad range of appetizers (like the popular Crispy Rice with Spicy Tuna and Seafood Dynamite) and cooked Japanese dishes. This variety caters to different tastes and ensures there's something for everyone in a group.
- Popularity Among Locals: The restaurant's consistent busyness, even late at night, is a strong indicator of its local popularity. It's a go-to spot for many Nevada residents, reflecting a high level of satisfaction and repeat business.
- Complimentary Offers (e.g., Thai Tea for Reviews): Umiya Sushi occasionally offers incentives like a free Thai tea for leaving a review, demonstrating their engagement with customer feedback and adding a nice perk to the dining experience.
- Relaxed Atmosphere: While it can be busy, the atmosphere is generally casual and comfortable, allowing for a relaxed dining experience. Some note the lighting is a bit dim at night, contributing to a cozier vibe.
Umiya Sushi is well-known for its competitive All-You-Can-Eat (AYCE) pricing, which serves as its primary value proposition and ongoing "special offer." The price varies between lunch, dinner, and weekends, and there's a particularly attractive late-night AYCE deal (around $21.95, though prices can fluctuate). This fixed-price model allows diners in Nevada to enjoy a wide variety of dishes without limits. Additionally, Umiya Sushi has been observed to offer incentives such as a complimentary Thai tea (valued at approximately $5) for customers who leave a review, as mentioned by a past customer. While specific daily or seasonal promotions beyond the AYCE structure might not be widely advertised, the AYCE itself is considered a significant ongoing promotion that draws in a consistent local crowd. It's always a good idea to check their official website or call them directly for the most current pricing and any short-term specials.

Umiya Sushi Reviews
The late night all u can eat Ayce sushi $21.95 at Umiya is legit!!We came around 10pm and 80% of seats were full which was a good sign. We were quickly greeted and seated. What we ordered were as follows.Miso soupTempura noodleSpicy Scallop rollSmoked salmonSeafood DynamiteSalmon bellyYum yum crabTina pokeBaked oysterChicken katsuPork belly (this one is average)Bugulgi friesSnow white rollFlamingo rollKiss of fireFirecrackerService is great and dishes were served quickly. (Sometimes they were busy so you have to let them know you are ready to order.)At night, the restaurant is a little bit dark so I have to look at the menu very closely. You can get a free Thai tea (valued $5) after you leave a review on Yelp. I don’t leave whatever reviews for just a complimentary drink so I waited until my husband and I finished all orders. I wrote this review and gave 5 stars since I really enjoyed it.There is a 60 min limitation so I will recommend to come earlier as you can. Overall, we enjoyed Umiya and will definitely come back.
Mar 27, 2025 · Jenny L.I come here all the time but never left a review this time, it’s only right to show my appreciation for their excellent service and fantastic food! We ordered and enjoyed ebi sushi (probably 30 pieces, maybe more!) and tried different rolls, fish, squid, and oysters. Everything was fresh, delicious, and perfectly prepared. The quality of the food and the attentive service make this place a standout. I will definitely recommend Umiya Japanese Restaurant to anyone who loves amazing Japanese cuisine. Can’t wait to return!
Jan 22, 2025 · ARNOLD PREPEÑALet’s face it: Las Vegas is extremely expensive nowadays. There are few deals to be had for hotels anywhere on or immediately adjacent to the strip, and food around the strip is going to cost you a ton of money. A beer in our hotel was $18 for a domestic, and close to $30 for a cocktail. Since I can’t get good sushi in Huntsville, Alabama, I am always eager to go to a place that I know has good sushi, and Las Vegas is one of them. A GF and I went to Umiya based on the reviews we read, and we were not disappointed. Most people do the all you can eat (AYCE) and we were no exception. The price is very reasonable ($35.95), and if you go late at night, it is ridiculously cheap, at about $21. A few things we noticed that were confusing on their menu, that we had to clarify before we started ordering. Both tables around us asked the same questions, so we were not alone.1. You have 60 minutes from the time you start ordering to use your AYCE benefit. Some photos of menus shown in reviews say 75 minutes, but our menus said 60, so you have less time to stuff yourself! 😂 We were there about an hour, and it did NOT seem like they were using a stopwatch on us! 😃2. When they talk about ordering one item at a time, they are really referring to special order higher value items. They have a little blue ball with a number 1 located next to the item on the menu. Premium items, which you can only order if you get the premium AYCE ($10 more), are also identified with a maroon colored “P.” We were perfectly satisfied with the scores of normal offerings they had, so it was not worth it to us. This part seemed a little confusing and was what the other tables were asking about as well. Yes, you can order 10 items of sushi at one time if you would like! Not “one”🐟3. The items included in the AYCE include pretty much everything on the menu, be it soups, sushi, tempura, or special small plates.4. The fish was tasty and fresh. Not the best I have ever had, but still very respectable and good quality. And given the prices, fantastic. Fairly thin strips of fish, but long, and about a third of the rice you would normally have with Nigiri sushi, so you are not getting filled up on rice! 🍚With both of us getting drinks, and the AYCE, we got out for under $100. While you can order à la carte, if you are getting more than five to six two-piece orders, you are definitely better off just going with the AYCE. Definitely keep this place in mind for affordable, good tasting sushi. If it is during prime dinner hours, consider making a reservation, as it got quite busy as we were leaving. We made our reservation via Open Table. Will be back.
May 16, 2025 · Scott SweetowDecent sushi RestaurantWe reserved a table for 5 before we came to eat. It was about an hour wait @ about 9 pm on a weekday. Luckily the restaurant opened until midnight. It was all you can eat sushi @ about $35/person. A good deal of you can eat a lot. Everything we ordered was priced total at about the price we paid for.The portions were small but we were well fed and full. The group of 3 teenagers and 2 adults, so we ordered about 3 rounds of food.Overall the food was fresh but the quality was just average.I would take my family back again for the all you can eat sushi.
Apr 06, 2025 · Khiem BuiI really like this place and I come here every time I'm in town. But last time, I was disappointed with the service. Maybe it was because I ordered from the late-time or lower-priced menu—but if a restaurant offers something, it should still be served with the same respect and quality.A cheaper menu shouldn't mean cheaper treatment.
