Cant tell from the outside but the inside of this restaurant is really nice! Edison doesn’t really have that many ramen specific places so having this as a more upscale ramen option is great. The ramen flavors were unique and light. Normally I have a hard time finishing a bowl but I cleaned this one up! We got lobster tacos as apps and those were really refreshing. Dessert was alright; a little overpriced for what we got but service and everything else was great!

Don't judge a book by its cover. When you pull into the small strip mall, you may think reconsider. Once you walk in, you feel better, and if you get the ribs, you'll feel wonderful!! My wife was worried when we walked in, and we were the only ones in the restaurant. That quickly changed, and the place filled up. We got Gyoza and Ribs for apps. The ribs were amazing!! A light, sweet sauce, fall off the bone, and a slight crisp to them. I got the beef bone marrow ramen, and she got the smoked duck. We both enjoyed our meals. My wife loved the way the duck came out by the chef covered, and as he lifted the cover, you see the smoke come out. If you are in the area, it's worth a visit.

I love this place!! We had the corn app which was delicious! It reminded me of takoyaki, in a way. I also had the spicy ramen which was delicious, I added corn into it. My boyfriend got the special one with the bone marrow and he finished the entire bowl! The dessert was tasty and the clear sauce on it was sweet - just how I like it. It was also too pretty to eat!I feel like this place is a hidden gem, definitely check it out!

I had no idea of this hidden gem in Edison, NJ. Wakai has brought some yummy NYC deliciousness into Jersey. From the cool Asian take on nachos, to the unique, tasty ribs, to the silky broth of the bone marrow ramen, I enjoyed every single bite. The interior is warm, with a wonderful simple beauty and the staff was attentive and so friendly. This place is all-around a top choice for me whenever I need a taste of yum in Edison. I live in SI and am so glad to know that a 15 min drive can take me to Wakai. Love! Everyone must try!

The best ramen spot EVER. I went with a big party and we tried a variety of appetizers and ramens. Truly everything on the menu is spectacular. The ribs are to die for. The bone marrow bao buns are top tier. All of the ramens are delicious. And my favorite dessert was the pistachio dessert! And the service is excellent. Everyone is so kind and helpful and it’s so easy to make a reservation. The interior decoration is so chic. Hands down, this is one of the best restaurants I’ve ever tried.
