WOKUNI Reviews
Excellent! Amazing execution of a menu that scales from affordable to Manhattan-night-out. My wife and I were perfectly happy making a meal of some tapas-sized dishes and the (truly excellent) duck entree, along with some Happy Hour drinks; we left, very happy, very well fed, and with our wallets intact. But if you’d like to take that up a notch, this restaurant will be happily to take you to some impressive heights.
Apr 11, 2025 · Joshua GrossmanWe were recommended this restaurant by a couple girls that we met after the Rangers game, and it couldn’t have been a better recommendation! The atmosphere was gorgeous. The staff was friendly and the food was phenomenal!!! 10/10 recommend & will be back again next time in NYC!!!
Feb 15, 2025 · Annie FowlerThis Japanese restaurant consistently delivers an outstanding dining experience with impeccable service and top-quality cuisine. As a regular customer, I am always impressed by their commitment to excellence, from their fresh sushi sourced directly from their fish farm in Japan to the perfectly grilled hamachi collar. The agedashi tofu is a comforting delight with its crispy exterior and silky interior, while the matcha and mochi ice cream is the perfect sweet finish. Our go-to sake, Dassai Nama, pairs beautifully with every dish. A unique recent addition to their sushi counter is a silent fish auction screen above their sushi bar counter was a nice touch. Their happy hour drink specials and Arigato set (fried chicken or oyster with Edamame) are a great deal and delicious 😋
Mar 09, 2025 · ChristineOur first visit here, we definitely will be back. Being unfamiliar with Japanese food and wanting more than "just" sush,i we asked our server Smith for some advice. Smith was so helpful in recommending & explaining dishes and checking our preferences and said he would have the dishes adjusted accordingly. The dishes he recommended were fantastic , and the service was friendly and efficient, at no time did we feel rushed even though the restaurant was full. We definitely recommend Wokuni. It's not the cheapest place to eat but not bad for the quality and experience. Thank you Smith.
May 07, 2025 · Richard ChargeAmazing food!! Very fresh and delicious. Great amount of food and they are of the highest quality! Next time I will come earlier and get their Wokuni Don (only 8 servings per day). It looks sooooo good!
