Yamazaki Ramen Reviews
Cute ramen place downtown, pretty close to the universities nearby. The shoyu ramen was really good, and their pork was good too. The curry plate is huge but delicious. The staff was so so so nice, very attentive and friendly. The inside is pretty small but has decent seating. Overall a good experience!
Apr 02, 2025 · Theo WigginWe ordered Takoyaki, onigiri, karaage curry udon, and Shoyu. The takoyaki was not good but edible enough to have 2 pieces not more than that, and it felt it was frozen and old stock, onigiri was again a disappointment and not fresh, the karaage & Shoyu both were the worst, we had to throw all of it.The items feel like it’s old stock and frozen. I would not recommend this place! The only good part was the way the server spoke he was very kind and welcoming.
Apr 11, 2025 · akilesh bhounsleymy family and I been going here a while and always enjoyed our meals, but last time we were there we discovered that they do auto gratuity with larger parties. this wasn’t disclosed to us anywhere on the menu or by our waiter. our receipt total didn’t show the tip charge, it only showed a new total - this new total is almost a 22% auto gratuity. 22% is higher than a standard auto gratuity, so I think the restaurant should really reconsider that percentage.the worst part is the bottom portion asking for additional tip, and if you’re not paying attention then you may end up double tipping. my family and i have come multiple times before with the same party size of 6 and since we never realized the auto gratuity until this time, we’ve likely then double tipped.again, the food has always been great and was our go to for ramen in the area but the whole undisclosed tip situation just left a bad taste in our mouths.
Feb 23, 2025 · Victoria LamI've never been a regular at a restaurant before but this place is so good my boyfriend and I keep going back. It's our favorite place to get takeout from. We usually order the rice bowls which are consistently delicious. Regardless of whether you get rice bowls or ramen though, they know how to cook their eggs and pork correctly. It makes my taste buds so happy every time 😊
Apr 01, 2025 · BecklinI have been to Yamazaki Ramen several times. I am usually pleased with the food, the atmosphere, and the service here.Food wise, after trying many dishes, I now always go for the same things: Takoyaki for appetizers; Charshu Don or Shoyu Ramen for main dishes. All of these dishes are like comfort food to me and are of perfect size and tastes. Our server was kind and attentive. The food came out at reasonable times. The place was never overly crowded, so I always felt relaxed walking in and eating in.
