Yojimbo Reviews
I ordered takeout, but when I walked into the restaurant to pick it up I immediately thought "I need to come back here to eat in". It's really cute inside with high ceilings. The woman who gave me my order was super kind.I ordered the make your own bento box. I love it just for existing. The online order form said I could pick "2-19 options" which is a dream for me. No restrictions on category or anything, it's just basically a la carte smaller portions of items so you can make your own small plate combo. I opted for sashimi, the 49ers roll, salmon shioyaki and nigiri. Everything was tasty and the sashimi was thick. I wasn't sure about the lemon on the 49ers roll but it worked well. The bento came with a miso soup and a bonus free little puff pastry. All in all a great bento and I'll definitely be back! Also I navigated to the Yojombo location, but a sign on the door told me they combined with their gallery (?) which is a few blocks away.
May 23, 2025 · Christine UyemuraWhen you reach the front door you're immediately introduced to the theme they have gone for. Inside is all anime references and multiple tvs constantly playing various studio Ghibli films. It's a small cozy shop where I never felt like the staff was too busy to check in on me. The food I got was all cooked very well. The portion sizes were very generous. Staff was friendly. All in all a great trip and def would recommend it
Jan 31, 2025 · JordanThe Yojimbo I remember had huge portions but it's not the same anymore. Food wasn't skimpy but not as before, and the quality was okay. We came on a Saturday night around 7pm and was able to get a group of 6 seated right away. They were patient while we tried to figure out what to order for the kids, and food came out quickly.Rolls were good, ramen piping hot, miso soup a bit salty and chirashi was fresh.I'll still keep them on my list go places to go...and ambience with anime and artwork is still cool!
