Yokai Ramen Reviews
This was my first time trying this place, and I ordered a lot from their menu! For appetizers, I had the shrimp tempura, crab croquette, gyoza, and edamame — everything was delicious, crunchy, creamy, and fresh. For entrees, I tried the miso ramen and unagi don, and both were excellent. I found out this was just their soft opening menu, and a full menu with more items is coming soon. I’ll definitely be back to try more!
Apr 30, 2025 · THITI PHUYokai Ramen is FANTASTIC. A tasty addition to the growing Westford food scene! The shoyu ramen is beautifully done. Perfect ajitama egg, bouncy noodles, well-balanced rich broth, and chasu pork that just MELTS in your mouth, no chewing necessary. The karaage was juicy and tender (would be great served with a lemon slice!) and the gyoza were SOOOO fresh and fantastic. The service was great, our waitress was super nice and attentive.I visited Japan a few months ago and it sort of "ruined" Japanese food in the US for me because nothing comes close to the real thing once you've had it! But Yokai truly satisfies the cravings and I can't wait to visit again. Absolute best gyoza I've had since the trip. They even greet you with irasshaimase. 5 stars!!!
Apr 01, 2025 · Lena MirisolaI decided to visit Yokai based on positive reviews and their advertising. Located in a convenient strip mall right off the highway, the location offers ample parking, making it easy to access.Upon arrival, the experience was a bit confusing. While the staff was friendly, there wasn’t clear guidance on whether to wait to be seated or seat ourselves. We ended up retrieving our own menus from another table. The service was somewhat slow, and it wasn’t clear whether the restaurant follows a fast-casual or full-service model. The small space is well-utilized, but some areas appeared to be reserved for the staff’s own operations.I opted for the unagi don over the ramen, as I don’t eat pork. The menu description for the ramen could use some clarification—it states “chicken AND pork broth,” but it would be clearer if it said “chicken OR pork broth.” This small adjustment would have influenced my decision to try the ramen instead.Several items on the menu were unavailable during my visit, including the crab croquette and chili paste, so I wasn’t able to sample them. Additionally, we didn’t receive the cream soda we ordered, but the staff promptly removed it from our bill. For our meal, we had water, unagi don, and chicken karaage. While the unagi was served warm and the karaage batter was a bit too thick, the meal was still satisfactory, though not exceptional. We ended up grabbing a bite elsewhere afterward.Overall, the experience was just OK. While there are areas for improvement, I’m hopeful that with a few adjustments, the experience can become more consistent in the future. I will continue to support local businesses and look forward to giving them another try.
Mar 08, 2025 · Momo RenjiThis ramen place is amazing! I love the broth and if you’re a spicy lover, make sure to ask for their home made spicy sauce it goes really well with the ramen! The staff were friendly and fast serving. Would definitely recommend this place. ❤️
Apr 04, 2025 · wen zengLovely decor, friendly staff, ample parking, short menu, good tare (soup base), decent noodles. Problems: no noodle firmness selection, ramen portion, pork belly tenderness, value. All fixable and I wish you guys the best. I'll return and will update my ratings.
