Yui Edomae Sushi Introduce
For discerning palates in Nevada, particularly those residing in or frequently visiting Las Vegas, the search for truly authentic and high-quality Japanese sushi often leads to a select few establishments. Among these, Yui Edomae Sushi stands out as a beacon of traditional Edomae-style sushi, offering an unparalleled dining experience that transcends the typical sushi restaurant. Edomae sushi, originating from Edo (old Tokyo), emphasizes the art of preparation beyond just the fresh fish itself. This traditional style focuses on meticulous aging, curing, and seasoning of the fish, combined with perfectly seasoned rice, to bring out the deepest umami flavors without the need for excessive soy sauce or wasabi.
Yui Edomae Sushi is not merely a place to eat; it is an immersive culinary journey, often compared by patrons to Michelin-starred establishments in Japan. Here, the focus is entirely on the "Omakase" experience – a chef-selected tasting menu where you entrust your meal to the skilled hands of the sushi master. This approach allows the chefs to showcase the freshest, most seasonal, and often rare ingredients, prepared with precision and artistic flair. It's an intimate and personalized dining event, perfect for special occasions or for anyone seeking to deepen their appreciation for the nuanced art of sushi. For locals who value authenticity, exceptional quality, and a truly memorable meal, Yui Edomae Sushi offers a hidden gem far removed from the bustling Las Vegas Strip.
Yui Edomae Sushi is strategically located at 3460 Arville St HS, Las Vegas, NV 89102, USA. This address places it off the immediate hustle and bustle of the main Las Vegas Strip, situated in an area known for its diverse culinary offerings that cater more to local residents seeking authentic and less tourist-centric experiences. While it might be considered a "hidden gem" due to its discreet location away from the main thoroughfares, its accessibility for locals remains high.
For those driving, ample parking is typically available in the plaza where the restaurant is situated. Given its off-Strip location, navigating to Yui Edomae Sushi is generally less congested than heading to resort-based restaurants. It’s easily reachable from various residential areas across the Las Vegas Valley via major surface streets. While public transportation might require a bit more planning to reach this specific address, a short ride-share or taxi from central areas of Las Vegas would provide convenient access for those without personal vehicles. Its placement allows diners to enjoy a serene and focused culinary experience without the distractions of a casino environment, making it a true destination for those in Nevada seeking a dedicated and high-end sushi experience.
Yui Edomae Sushi offers a highly specialized and intimate dining experience, primarily centered around its traditional Edomae-style approach.
- Omakase Only Dining: The core of Yui Edomae Sushi's offering is its Omakase menu. This means "chef's choice," where diners entrust their meal entirely to the sushi chef. This allows Chef Kaz to showcase the freshest seasonal ingredients and his expert craftsmanship. There are typically different tiers of omakase available, varying in price and the number/type of courses, including premium and signature options. Guests should not expect an à la carte menu.
- Premium Sake Pairing: To enhance the omakase experience, Yui Edomae Sushi offers premium sake pairings. This curated selection of sake is chosen to complement the flavors of the sushi and other courses, elevating the overall dining journey.
- Intimate Dining Setting: The restaurant provides an intimate and focused environment. Reviews suggest it is a small space, possibly with a few tables and counter seating, allowing for a personalized interaction with the sushi chef and an immersive experience.
- Exceptional Service: Customer reviews consistently highlight the impeccable and attentive service provided by the staff, who are knowledgeable and willing to share details about the ingredients and preparations.
- Exclusive and Reservation-Based: Given its intimate nature and the meticulous preparation involved, Yui Edomae Sushi often operates on a reservation-only basis, with limited seatings per night. This ensures a controlled environment for a high-quality experience.
- High-Quality, Fresh-Flown Ingredients: The restaurant prides itself on sourcing top-notch, often fresh-flown ingredients daily. This commitment to quality is fundamental to the Edomae style and the overall excellence of the sushi.
Yui Edomae Sushi is renowned for several distinct features and highlights that set it apart in the Las Vegas culinary landscape:
- Authentic Edomae Omakase: This is the defining characteristic. Yui specializes in traditional Edomae-style sushi, which focuses on the meticulous preparation of fish through aging, curing, and seasoning. The "Omakase" (chef's choice) format means every dish is curated by Chef Kaz, offering a truly authentic Japanese fine-dining experience. This contrasts sharply with many other sushi restaurants that offer extensive rolls or à la carte options.
- Fresh-Flown, Top-Notch Ingredients: Reviewers consistently praise the exceptional quality of the ingredients. The restaurant prides itself on sourcing the freshest fish and seafood, often flown in daily. This commitment to premium ingredients is crucial for delivering the delicate flavors of traditional sushi.
- Exceptional Culinary Skill of Chef Kaz: Chef Kaz is frequently highlighted by patrons for his impeccable fine dining execution and deep knowledge. He not only prepares the food with precision but also often shares details about the ingredients and their origins, enriching the dining experience.
- "Hidden Gem" Ambiance: Located off the Strip, Yui Edomae Sushi offers a discreet, intimate, and focused dining atmosphere. This allows for a more personal and immersive experience, reminiscent of high-end sushi bars in Japan, away from the typical Las Vegas distractions.
- Premium Sake Pairing: The availability of a premium sake pairing elevates the meal, as the sake is thoughtfully selected to complement the nuanced flavors of the sushi and other courses, enhancing the overall sensory experience.
- Meticulous Presentation and Execution: Beyond the taste, the visual appeal of the dishes is a significant highlight. Each piece of sushi and every course is presented beautifully, reflecting the artistic precision that is a hallmark of fine Japanese cuisine.
- Personalized and Attentive Service: The staff is consistently praised for being attentive, knowledgeable, and providing service that makes diners feel like they are receiving a truly bespoke experience. This level of service contributes significantly to the feeling of being in a high-end establishment.
- Reminiscent of Michelin-Starred Experiences: Many customers have compared their dining experience at Yui Edomae Sushi to those found in two-star Michelin restaurants in major Japanese cities like Tokyo and Kyoto, underscoring its exceptional quality and authenticity.
Given Yui Edomae Sushi's status as a high-end, omakase-only establishment, traditional "promotions" or "special offers" in the typical sense (like happy hour deals or discounts) are generally not part of their operational model. The value at Yui is derived from the exclusive experience, the quality of the ingredients, and the masterful preparation.
However, discerning locals might find value in:
- Tiered Omakase Options: Yui offers different levels of omakase (e.g., premium, signature). While all are premium experiences, choosing a specific tier allows diners to manage their investment while still enjoying the full Edomae experience. Prices for omakase can range from approximately $250 for a regular omakase to $350 for premium and $500 for signature experiences, reflecting the varying rarity of ingredients and complexity of courses. It's important to note that these prices are subject to change, and direct confirmation with the restaurant is always recommended.
- Seasonal Offerings: The omakase menu changes based on the freshest seasonal ingredients flown in daily. This ensures that even without "discounts," each visit offers a fresh and unique culinary journey, providing intrinsic value through variety and peak flavor.
For the most accurate and up-to-date information regarding their current omakase offerings and pricing, it is always best to directly contact Yui Edomae Sushi via phone or visit their official website, as their exclusive nature means information may not be broadly advertised.

Yui Edomae Sushi Reviews
Amazing dining experience, especially with the premium sake pairing, I felt like I was back in a two-star Michelin in Tokyo or Kyoto. Exceptional service. Fresh flown ingredients daily all top notch - Chef Kaz provides impeccable fine dining for some of the best, Japanese cuisine in Las Vegas. My highest possible rating
May 28, 2025 · DannoThis was a total hidden gem. Not easy to find and way off the strip but worth all of the effort. The staff was very good, the sushi chef was extremely knowledgeable and shared lots of details about what we were eating, where it was from. The food was presented and executed very well. Lots of variety and a very large portion in total. Omakase is the only option on the menu so don’t expect to come in and order off menu. This omakase experience was very authentic and the food was top notch.
May 18, 2025 · Tracy BassettA dining experience. Only do omakase if you can appreciate the flavors and artistry in each delicate dish. Fresh fish from Japan is what to come here for. The dessert was lovely but with my love of Japanese food I was a bit disappointed the options were apple pie and a strawberry layer cake. Even a mochi ice cream would have seemed better. Hospitality and warmth of the people working here made for a wonderful experience.Favorite things: wagyu tartare...hokkaido uni...the oysters, the people were great too! Thank you
Feb 11, 2025 · Katrina HernandezGreat sushi and sake. The chef was very fun and knowledgeable. I loved the sake they paired with each course. I don't normally ask for seconds but my wife and I needed a second round of several pieces of fish. We've also had a lot of wagyu but this place was our favorite. We are excited to add this as another one of our stops on our future vegas trips!
Apr 25, 2025 · Aaron EldergodIn A Nutshell:-Yui Edomae Sushi was such a great find!-Vegas has so many great sushi restaurants & Yui is definitely at or near the TOP of the list.-Don't let the non-descript strip mall fool you.-Once you're inside you are instantly transported to Japan.-The small size of the restaurant w/ it modern, minimal design sets the right mood for a culinary art journey of 95% imported cuts from Japan.-This is a place where you celebrate w/ someone who loves sushi/sashimi & rare seafood.-They have 3 omakase menus ranging from $190+.-The Gensen menu was a really good choice, its the $190 menu per person.-The variety of dishes were profound & I left very joyful + stuffed.-The sushi chef always had a smile in his face & he took great pride in serving us.Overall, this is a very, very good sushi restaurant that is expensive but totally worth the money. Check out my photos!!
