Sushi restaurant ★4.0 (30)·$20–30

757 Monterey Blvd, San Francisco, CA 94127, USA

4.0
My favorite Asian cuisine is Japanese, hands down. The downside is, they tend to be more on the expensive side, but whenever I go it's such a treat.Located in a more residential pocket of Glen Park on Monterey Boulevard, the restaurant doesn't really stand out from the roadway, it's fairly nondescript. To me though, the unpretentious, unobtrusive nature of its facade is kind of alluring, almost like being part of a small club that knows a certain speakeasy of bygone days. What's more, it's not easy to find street parking in these parts, so it's a bit inconvenient. However, once you get past finding a parking spot and locating this place, this place is charming, if not intimate, and it has that Japanese vibe. The menu has ample offerings you'd find in any typical Japanese place, but I'm inclined to order their sushi rolls which tend to be generous and reasonably priced.During lunch and afternoons are my recommended hours as it's not crowded and guess what? Finding parking is easier. It's definitely a neighborhood spot and it's one of the reasons why I love San Francisco restaurants, small independently owned places, each with its own character and distinction. The food is good, reliably consistent and at least the times I've been there, the service is super fast. But then again, I go at non-peak hours.Good luck finding parking and enjoy your visit. - Ray Santiago

This unassuming eatery has won the hearts of locals by delivering reliably good food and a warm, inviting atmosphere, making it a must-visit for any Japanese food enthusiast in California.

Yume Sushi offers more than just a meal; it provides an intimate and charming dining experience that feels like being part of a small, exclusive club. Despite its somewhat "nondescript" facade and "unassuming location," stepping inside reveals a "cozy" and "beautiful quiet atmosphere" that's "neat and clean." The menu boasts "ample offerings" of typical Japanese dishes, with a particular highlight on their sushi rolls, which are consistently praised for being "generous and reasonably priced." The location on Monterey Boulevard offers a genuine neighborhood feel, away from the more bustling tourist areas, providing a serene dining experience. Regarding accessibility, finding street parking in this residential area "is not easy" and "a bit inconvenient," especially during peak hours. Promotions or Special Offers

The reviews consistently highlight that their sushi rolls are "generous and reasonably priced," which, in the context of San Francisco's generally higher dining costs, can be considered a perpetual special offer in itself. The consistent quality of their food combined with these reasonable prices is a major factor in why customers keep returning. Additionally, the "super fast" service experienced during non-peak hours (lunch and afternoons) can be seen as an informal "express lunch" benefit, optimizing the dining experience for those with limited time.
