Zen Box Izakaya Reviews
This was our first trip and it was good. Requested an off the menu cocktail, lychee martini which was delightful. Ramen, while good, lacked umami and spiciness in the broth. Service was excellent, staff was knowledgeable and approachable.
May 24, 2025 · Christin R. TackettAll in all this place was pretty good. The service was quick and excellent. The folks working here were nice and as it was not a busy day were willing to chat. Overall the place has a good atmosphere and there are some fun silly touches here and there (beer sword). As for the ramen it was decent, I would try it again, but it's not anything to write home over.
Feb 17, 2025 · Zach RoperFood was tasty, ramen on the salty side. Brussel sprouts were my fave. Fries were crispy and a little spicy.
May 03, 2025 · Jason CI absolutely loved my experience here! It felt like stepping into a cozy, relaxed eatery right in the heart of Tokyo. The chicken gyozas were simply divine—crispy and perfectly cooked without any greasiness. The kimchi ramen was a standout; the broth was rich and flavorful with a delightful creaminess. The noodles were fresh, clearly not the kind you'd find in a cheap store-bought package. The chicken yakisoba noodle dish was equally impressive. Honestly, I found myself wanting to sample everything on the menu! My only minor quibble would be with the loud grunge music, which made it a bit tricky to have a conversation with my dining companions. But aside from that, this place is absolutely fantastic!
Jan 04, 2025 · Matt CFinally got the chance to dine in and Zen Box did not disappoint. The impressive variety on the menu from ramen and curry to cocktails and sake had me nodding like “I know I’m gonna be back.” The ramen and takoyaki were scrumptious. Just wish they had a better parking situation. Nevertheless, I hope to be back and have no qualms recommending Zen Box for it’s food and as gathering place for friends.
