Dec 25, 2024 · Fiona SeahLast year I left a review on this restaurant with overall 5 stars. The atmosphere was amazing, the food was delicious, and the service was great, until my last visit. All of the times I have been here, my party and I have always been welcomed warmly and received upstanding service! We typically got the same two servers each time we dine in.Until our most recent visit back in November, we were attended for the first time by this specific server, and we could have never expected someone so impatient and unprofessional. Not only was he impatient in taking our order, he got half of our order wrong (we were only a party of 4). Gave him the benefit of the doubt, maybe they just had a rush earlier, but looking around there were only three other busy tables. When we tried to ask for utensils, he blatantly ignored us until another waitress swooped in and helped us. We enjoyed our meal, had a good time. Then when I asked for the bill and some to go containers, our previous server came in, threw the containers in front of me, along with the bill, until everything fell onto my food and lap, and walked away. I was completely flabbergasted, I wasn’t and still am unsure of what I possibly done wrong or made him upset. But overall, I was utterly embarrassed as I brought a family member here for the first time, completely raving to him about how amazing this restaurant is, only for his first experience to turn out like this.I know this is a rather lengthy review, and I apologize, but I would rather give insight on my last experience with them and be straightforward. I really do love and miss this restaurant, but I probably wouldn’t go back here anytime soon, especially if we were to get that rude server again :/
Apr 02, 2025 · MellodyWeird treatment. We were waiting for our table for a few minutes. I asked the hostess how long it would be. She said 20 to 30 minutes. Sounds fine. I asked her where the restroom was and she waved her finger in my face and told me no no no, I couldn't use their restroom. Because why? She said I wasn't a paying customer because we were still waiting for a table. -Mind you, our name was third of the six names on the wait-list. It's not like I just walked up to the second floor of this mall, and added my name for a table, and then pretended to wait for a table, all just to scam them into letting me use their restroom without eating there. This isn't a fine dining establishment, I get that, but apparently it's not even mid-tier because they can't afford for someone to expend a bit of toilet water and a bit of soap. What the hell? Who acts like that? She literally just told me it's a 20-30 minute wait for a table - and the idea that she thinks it's okay to deny guests access to the bathroom -- it's weird. It just makes no sense at all to be so hostile to their patrons. It's unwelcoming. And it's a self fulfilling prophecy, because of course I'm not going to be treated this way. We walked right out of there. We went up the street to another sushi place and spent a ton of money there. The hostess said her name was Jennifer. She lost us as customers. We'll never return. The place is mediocre anyway.
Apr 06, 2025 · Sara BrueneA new family tradition is born. One week visit to see the family had dinner here twice. It's rare when the whole family is satisfied at the same time. Just my experience, they gave bigger portions just before closing time. If you are in LA for a visit or residence give them a try. You'll love it. Can't wait until my next trip.Just found out the tip was charged with the bill. I guess they got me twice. I will never go back to this place again. Just remember her face counting the cash as we walked out. Totally uncool. Thanks, Lorenzo for dropping the knowledge.
Feb 06, 2024 · ALBERT R3A large menu with great sushi selections, both authentic and American sushi. Appetizers were also really good. Vibe is very cozy, just unfortunately located on the second floor of Little Tokyo mall, kind of hidden away from the rest of the area.
