Zilla Sake Reviews
I really like this place. I visited here about 2 weeks ago for the first time. Sushi selection is great. Quality even better!Staff was friendly and helpful. They have a extensive Sake selection and they helped me navigate it for what I wanted. Plus they have sake flights. If you like sushi, I recommend a visit.
Apr 20, 2025 · Vance WilsonThe food was good and the sake too. The service is what I found a bit disappointing. Although I got seated almost immediately, it took them like 20 mins to get my order. It wasn’t really that busy, but the server was just doing other things instead of coming and asking if I was ready to order. I found the food pricey as well. So in summary: expensive food + slow service = I’m not coming back =)
Apr 17, 2025 · ChrisMy gf and I dined in for our anniversary, and had the omikase for two. It was a really nice and fun experience over all. The staff was very nice and attentive. And the food was amazing. It’s an 8 course experience. Which featured a lot of food and many different things to try. We also had a sake flight and tea. Some of my standouts were the bluefin tuna, the crab and tofu dish, crispy skin trout, and the 3 week dry aged king salmon. I would definitely recommend you try it out.
Jul 10, 2024 · trent wordenHad the omakase (chef’s tasting, 7 courses) with my partner and it was absolutely phenomenal. I’ve lived in Portland 20 years and this was the best food I’ve ever had here, which as many of you know is saying something. The combination of flavor, texture, and presentation was truly incredible. My partner and I got to watch the head chef do his thing for 2.5 hours and every bit of our experience was worth every penny and then some. The staff were also well educated on sake, and the lighting was exactly what my partner and I wanted.
Feb 17, 2025 · Hayden GluckWe went for the omakase. It took three hours and most of the time was spent waiting between courses. I thought the food was alright and the ingredient quality was good, however the server who brought out most of our dishes couldn’t remember what they were called and therefore couldn’t explain well to us what was being served. He also pointed at items with hands right over the dish, which I found off-putting. And at one point his thumb was touching the nigiri when it was served. It was quite uncomfortable to sit for three hours as the chairs are wood and not cushioned. It was $360 (they include the 20% gratuity) for two people, so not something I’d do again. It doesn’t seem like the servers are familiar with fine dining etiquette, so the price seems inflated for the experience.
