Ai Sushi & Grill Reviews
We made a reservation prior for 7:30pm. A few hours before we got a call from the restaurant to see if we were willing to move it back to 8pm. We expressed it wasn’t ideal, and they said we could come at 7:15pm instead. We waited 30 min for water. The hibachi chef did a table of 8 while doing ours. We got the ai couples combo ($75) and still had to pay an additional $6 for fried rice (1 egg split between us). One person at the table behind us had a mushroom allergy, so no one got mushrooms… food was meh. Do not recommend. Maybe the unrelated AI on powers is better?
Apr 11, 2025 · Lauren CarolloI didn't know what to expect of the Ai Sushi & Grill at this location. Our server broke down all those walls with her friendly and playful demeanor. I was quite satisfied with her service. Both my partner and I felt comfortable interacting with her and laughing together. The sushi chef made our dish look SO good! I was excited to try new rolls that I have never had the pleasure of indulging in. They served some of the best Sake (Salmon) that we have ever eaten at a sushi restaurant. Their Miso Soup had mushrooms in it which was a great addition and also unique to this location. We ordered the Godfather, a Shrimp Tempura Roll, the Lion King, and the Yakiniku. The Yakiniku was my first introduction to a warm sushi dish that I have ever had. The Jalapeño, Onion. And Teriyaki Beef Toppings were so delicious! I was scraping the plate after eating that one!The restroom was clean as well as the restaurant. It looks as though the restauraunt could use some touch up as far as paint and environment though and honestly, it did not take away from the experience but it was something I did notice while we were waiting for our food.I would come back to this location anytime in the future and would recommend it for anybody looking for great service and excellent sushi!!Thank you Ai Sushi & Grill!!
Nov 06, 2024 · Perspective ColoradoI guess they're under new management. I'm not very fond of the new management. I was charged two dollars for 2 tiny slices of lemons to go with my escolor ( it is usually served with 2 slices). My super crunch was not very super. I've had it here before, but it never tasted on the sour side. I've ordered the deep fried cheesecake before to go. And the gentleman told me that it didn't look very good. Which I know I've had in the past but the taste was horrible. I don't know what kind of strawberries they used or where they used them from, but they were very old. I tried to call them and nobody answered. So I got this in my email to comment on.
Nov 06, 2023 · Layonise AustinThe family who owns it are all smiles and give very good customer service! The food is so good! HUGE sushi rolls too and a great variety! The beef noodles were the best we've had! Great job everyone!
Jun 29, 2024 · Mandy SieversWe went in right at 5pm for Valentine’s Day. We are asked if we had a reservation which we did not, however the host said that as long as we were done by 6pm he could seat us so that all of the reservations which were set to start at 6 would have open tables (we always get the same thing so we were ready to order the second we got seated. It took 15 minutes from the time we were seated for the host to come back by to take our order. I had to flag down a waitress 30 minutes after we were seated to ask her to bring us our waters and appetizers. She said to us that our host had taken our order but nothing had been properly communicated to her so she was trying to get everything right. 1 hour after we were seated, 45 minutes after we ordered our 3 rolls we’re finally brought to the table and the food was outstanding. Once the $70 check came out 90 minutes after we were seated 30 minutes after the host told us we needed to be done, we handed our waitress a $100 bill and asked for her to bring back the change to which she replied “we don’t have enough change to bring back” ($30 on Valentine’s Day when you have a reservation list so long that you needed us gone) yeah okay. That was just our experience without mentioning that the whole restaurant being with less than 1/3 of the tables seated had lovely couples who made reservations and were left for so long without a waitress coming by that they were leaving out of frustration. Or the disgruntled, confused looking around every patron in the restaurant had trying to figure out what was happening.I used to come here often and after reading reviews on this place this morning it seems like this restaurant has been in a tailspin for well over a year.To the owner, you need to take these bad reviews to heart and tighten your ship otherwise I fear that your once loved restaurant will become nothing but a faint memory. The locals on the northwest side of town want restaurants like yours to thrive, by doing nothing which you seem to be doing you are actively destroying your reputation and killing your business. Please do better. Your host (son of the sushi chef), and waitress (with the colorful hair and piercings) were very kind despite the atrocity of last night which is the only reason why I gave 2 stars. They deserve better too.
